Words and Phrases I HATE!!!

I hate it when people leave out the verb "to be."

Example:

- This floor needs mopped.
- your room needs cleaned.

Is this phenomenon unique to Utah? Regardless, this problem needs fixed.

using an apostrophe to pluralize anything!!!!

calling a rounded off bolt head "stripped" (stripped refers to threads only)

calling a drill chuck-key the "chuck" (the chuck is the part of the drill the key loosens)

calling a woodruff-key the "key-way" (the key-way is where the key is machined to sit)

"Leafs" there is no such word. just because the leaf didn't fall off a tree doesn't mean that you don't pluralize it the same way.

on 4wd forums its rampant, when talking about leaf springs. on ksl it is rampant when people are selling dining tables that have "2 leafs to go with it

there are so many more........

Putting HECKA in front of words. "Hecka-crazy". Guess they could be saying the F-word in front of it which is what I may or may not of said back in the day.

Just read the preview google chrome gives me and not all of it but here you go "Non-Anti-Dis-irregardless". This came up at work after one of the kids started saying "irregardlessly" so instead of crushing it we just took it to the next level. But the original word just drives me nuts.
