I'll start this off with this is my wife's and eventually my son's Jeep. They've picked everything we done to it from the options it was ordered with to the parts we've put on it. It's turned out pretty nice so far. We started looking at different vehicles a couple months ago, my wife would want the Wrangle, then she'd want something else, then go back to the Wrangler, then something else. She finally settled on the Wrangler...I didn't try to persuade her otherwise :D . After shopping around a bit, I remembered we have a resident Jeep Salesman on RME so I reached out to @TurboMinivan who was quick to give us advice, put together a custom order, and we setup a time to go put a deposit down and get it ordered. (If you're considering a...
So I've owned this 4Runner since new, it used to be my wife's. She's always said she wanted to lift it and put wheels and tires on it so I left the decision on what wheels in her court. When she could tell me that, I would do the work...she never could tell me what she wanted so it stayed stock, until now. :D Picked up an OME BP-51 lift for it yesterday from Cruiser Outfitters along with some new SPC Upper Control arms. I took the 285/70R17 BFG AT KO2 from my wife's JLUR and put them on a set of Rotiform SIX OR bronze wheels. I spent yesterday afternoon/evening installing the lift and took it over for an alignment first thing this morning. I'm super happy with how this lift rides, I'm sure if I ever actually use it, it'll be even...

Don't post often on RME but figured I would make this thread to track progress of my current project and see what you guys think. I currently drive a stock 04 TJ that I just picked up a few months ago. It is for sale but im not pushing to sell it until the new jeep is ready to drive. My dad picked up this 06 LJ rubi with 79k earlier this year. I have always wanted an LJ and now I finally have one.. even though its wrecked. We picked up this jeep through an auction and the pictures didn't do the damage justice. it was hit hard in the driver side rear corner, bending the frame into the rear floor. the frame kinked really bad right behind the spring perch. The jeep is currently on a frame machine being pulled. the driver side...

I purchased a Tepui Siberian Camo Autana RTT in 2015 and started building the trailer. I started with a $50 CL find, basically just needed a serial number and license plate. The outer rails are the only pieces left of the original trailer. I ordered a new axle and tried to match my wheels but they changed the design a bit, and had a couple old 35" tires mounted for mock up purposes. I found the side boxes on CL and used them for both storage and fenders. After the first outing, I added 50 lbs gas struts to the corners to help raise the tent to sleeping height. Next on the to-do list is to cut a door on the drivers side in front of the tool box and build a roll out platform for my large RTIC cooler and then an off road coupler.

Pulled the trigger last night on a 2015 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel. That Dempsey is one hell of a salesman and was relentless! :D Here it is waiting to be detailed: The major factor for me going with the ED was fuel mileage. I loved everything about my 2010 Tundra, except the fuel mileage. When I built it, I had NO plans of pulling a trailer. Heavy steel bumpers, winch, rock sliders, lift, 35" tires...worked GREAT off-road...and I could still eek out 14-15mpg. Not bad. Then, my wife wanted a Polaris RZR. Pretty much everyone in her family has one so we found ourselves traveling at least once a month to meet up with them. Problem is, they all live in Vegas so we're typically traveling 300+ miles to meet up with them. With the...
Over the last 2 seasons Nate and I have learned what it takes to be top competitors in the world of professional rock crawling. Once we stepped up to a pro class in my home built Promod car it took an entire season of working out issues and dialing in the car along with us learning what the car was capable of. Well I sold that car this last week and turned around and bought another promod. I had grown to loathe the LS motor the weight and power was more of a nuisance than anything but it was still sad to see it to go. I learned so much building the car and I feel like I owe alot to that car. With all that being said as we dive deeper into the world of competition it was time to get a more competitive car. Being around the scene as much...
Our old camper was destroyed when one of the jacks failed. So we stripped it of all the appliances, and goods on the interior and planned to build a tough off- road camper that would take a beating and be more roomy than a traditional slide in camper. I also wanted the camper to be removable so that the truck can be used for other things. I have to get this camper all put together before Easter Jeep Safari. So I have only a few weeks. This truck tows a trailer with our Dodge T-Rex 6x6, or pulls our Jeep behind it. The Truck is a GMC 5500 4x4. I first built a custom winch bumper for it and put in new exhaust. Now I took it up to my buddy's shop in Idaho: Casper Customs. Cory the owner builds ultimate 4x4's and extreme rock buggies. You...
Figured I'd go ahead and start the build thread for my new to me 4runner. Picked up a 2010 Toyota 4runner Trail Edition, non-KDSS after being back and forth between a Lexus GX470 and a 4th Gen 4runner for the past couple of months. I'm not really sure what my plans are for this one but I'll probable keep it simple since I'm back to have a car payment. When I first got her. Made one comestic change to the 2014+ 4runner tail lights and added weather tech floor mats. I have one other interior comestic change coming that should freshen up the inside a little, just waiting on the part to come in. Took her out yesterday for her first official dirt road/snow run to Temple Canyon Park. Not a technical road in any way but if gave me a feel...

I've been working on this project for a few years, which is a long time for me. Seriously, from my track record, that's a long time owning the same rig. I switched directions from changing it to a Willys truck to leaving it a stretched CJ. Recent mods include the new CJ louvered hood and early CJ grill. We're also completing a much needed roll bar build. I realize builds like this are a dime a dozen, but I thought I'd share anyway. Thanks to a patient wife and help from friends it will be down to Winter 4x4 Jamboree next week. First time on the rocks in over 6 months.
Bought this Saturday and joined RME today. Nick from Parker, Colorado (SE of Denver) Stock 2012 Wrangler JKU with LED light bar. 4.10s Manual Building a rear hitch rack currently.
I wasn't really in the market, but this truck popped into my FB feed, so I bought it. It's a 2008 F150. Basic package, with chrome bumpers. The truck has a bad sputter/misfire. Being as It was less than 1/2 the price of the cheapest comparable truck I could find.. I figured it was worth the risk. The truck just rolled over 200k on the odo. It has the 5.4L V8. Interior is fairly clean, with typical drivers seat wear. Obviously I have to figure out what is causing the sputter before I can get too far into plans for it.. But I have to decide what I would like to do with it. If I keep It, I have to sell my colorado. In order to use the truck for work I would have to add a shell or utility bed. It is nice to have a little more room...
