Well I found myself bored and decided to post up a build thread of sorts on my truck. Maybe its a way to motivate myself to get this thing done. As of late I have found it hard to build up the motivation to get it done. I have even thought about selling it and getting out of wheeling altogether. Then I realize where I now live and have not really done any off roading here at all and think of all of the things I would be missing out on. This has been one of those projects that have just lingered on to long. There have been a number of factors that have contributed. Some are legit other not so much... Anyways here it goes. I bought this truck with only 17000 miles on it. It is the closest thing to new I have ever bought. I will have...

I picked this up over the weekend. It was briefly owned by Greg@RME a year or so ago so it's coming home to Utah in a way. There are a few dings etc consistent with what you'd expect from a 20 year old car. Like a lot of 80s the front seats were trashed, split leather and bad foam. Before going to get the truck I got a lead on a pair of front seats in decent condition that were at a shop there in GJ. I arranged to go take a look at them after I bought the truck. It worked out great. It was a shop I'd never heard of called Metric Offroad that specializes in Cruisers. They had 20-30 trucks in the yard at the shop and the owner said he had another lot with another 40 trucks. A whole range of trucks from 40's to 80s and some...

Cruiser dudes son did a "soft roll" while on a mountain trail and decided to sell the truck for parts to Kurt (mr cruiser outfitters) Another cruiser dude (Jason i think?) decided it was salvageable and gave it a 3rd chance at...

Because I don't have enough projects on my hands.... Admittedly, this thread is a little premature in starting it but I'm just going to be logging my progress of rebuilding my truck. My very first vehicle ever was a 1973 Chevy Silverado, K10 with 4" lift and 33's, picked it up for $300 near my 16th birthday. That was back before I knew anything at all about vehicles, (I didn't know that engines needed coolant haha. I ended up ruining the engine) Sold it and regretted it ever since. I always told myself I would pay $6k+ to buy it back, but after a while that turned out to be an unrealistic dream. This spring I picked up a '84 Silverado, SBC 350, manual SM465, long bed, 6" lift and 35's. The kid I bought it from had been...

I decided its time to retire the old car, it was good to me but i need something newer with working AC again. picked this up yesterday. 2010' Tacoma Leveled with i believe a 3"/1" kit New Tires 285/75/R17 2.7L Manual 5 speed I'm loving this thing. Fits me better than the old mazda, though i'll still miss that old heap.
I had a few pictures of my trailer in my Tacoma build thread and had a few people ask for more details on the trailer, so here's a little build thread to hopefully give some ideas to those considering a trailer. First off, I had no idea what I was going when I started this build. I knew what I wanted but had no experience with anything trailer related. I did lots of research and got some pointers from some good friends with trailers and off I went. To start I needed an axle. I built the trailer originally to be towed behind my FZJ80 so I had Henderson Wheel on 1700 S and 300 E in SLC build me an axle to match the track width of the cruiser with the same lug pattern. The basic idea for the trailer was something about the...
