For 2 years “Right Wing” media has been questioning the presidents mental fitness and the likes of CNN MSNBC PBS NPR etc have been covering for him. Can we all agree that these media outlets have been nothing more than a propaganda machine for a party trying to keep control and DJT out of the Whit House.

Now that the veil has been pulled back on their misdeeds they are trying to save face by calling for him to back out of the race. If it wasn’t so sad it would be funny.

The Republicans lawmakers hating this is funny to me and just shows how desperately they want to preserve their unnatural majority.

I get how this opens up the potential of large companies using their money and resources to back citizen initiatives (and I hate money in politics) but the Republicans should be happy that the largest and most influential corporation in Utah is firmly on their side. It'll be interesting to see how this unfolds. But for now, a win for representative politics.

I don't know how you eliminate gerrymandering. Both sides do it as much as they can and it always leads to major populations not getting fair representation. I think rank choice voting which would reduce two party domination would help this issue too.

Edit: just read the whole article and I was pleased to see that they also addressed the Legislatures gutting of the Medical Marijuana ballot initiative. You want to talk about big money dominating politics, it doesn't get any bigger than drug companies who own all our politicians. Utah still hasn't addressed copay accumulators which basically allow health insurance companies to require payment twice on the same debt.

Totally agree. There have been a few local rank choice votes in Utah, which have been received with mixed results, because it was “confusing.” Voters have to do more than pick one person

Really enjoyed this podcast that identified 3 ways to “fix” the duopoly.

1. Non-partisan primary
2. Rank choice voting
3. Reform $ in campaign contributions

It was sheer luck that it apparently was only his ear.

They are reporting one spectator dead, another in critical condition, and the lone shooter is dead.
I was wondering where the stray shots ended up. Senseless and tragic no matter which sane way you look at it. Prayers to all affected. Sad day.
