If you havent already ordered them, and want to get your tires in as far as possible just get 1.25 spacers. Same price as the bigger ones. I personally like them in as far as they can be without rubbing.

Your right about the 5.29's. He is on 33's with 4.56's and wants to switch to 4.10's, no need for 3k at freeway speeds with a v8.

Not sure about the weight on 1uz, there is a lot of info on yotatech about it though. My friend put one in his 90 runner and it is lighter then the 3.0 he took out, we know cuz it sits about 1.5in taller in front now. That thing really moves too! Left my old tacoma in his tire smoke.

If anything swap the 1uz, then it will really have some oomph! Lol. Since your stayin 22re try a crawler cam, there only like $150 and it helped in my 89.

I will play too... First toyota: 2wd with welded rear end in snow was no good... Sold it and got this: Drove it for a few years like that. Loved it! Then upgraded to this (stock-ish): (And in its prime): Loved that truck, but it was time for a bigger back seat. And...

Check some drag race, or street race forums. Harnesses actually "expire" and will not pass tech inspection at drag tracks after 6 or 10 years or something like that, so you might be able to find some used ones for cheap.

What color was the rtv? If I remember right toyota(factory and dealership) use orange silicone to seal trannys and t-cases so it could be stock, or at least worked on at the dealer... Plus manual trannys are really easy to rebuild, so it would have been hard to mess it up. Also if it was...
