    help we rock and bfe

Here is the biggest problem as I see it. The race is scheduled for Big Saturday during EJS. Any race course is going to have to use at least some short sections of Strike Ravine. Strike Ravine is a Big Saturday trail used by RR4W for EJS.

    New Extreme Trail "Smashing Pumpkins"

Just got back from checking out the trail, and it looks awesome! I like how it starts from Dropkick, and re-enters Dropkick further on up. Some of the obstacles are monsters!

Olaf, you're welcome! And thanks also to my buddy Jim, who works harder than most guys half his age!

    New BFE trail is...... Dropkick!

The newest trail being built out at Area BFE will be named Dropkick. Thanks to everyone who made suggestions and voted in the poll in the other threads. We think that Dropkick is an appropriate name for a moderate to difficult trail. Hopefully we will soon be adding a much more extreme route...

    Poll: New BFE trail name

Here are a few pics. The trail will be fairly long by BFE standards, with some nice views and some fun obstacles. We'll have lots of potential for some more extreme options. The first portion of the trail is driveable now, and we hope to have everything done by EJS.

    Poll: New BFE trail name

Thanks for all the name suggestions on the other thread for the new trail at Area BFE. I've taken some of the names that were mentioned multiple times and put them in the poll. I'm not sure if these are all punk bands, but the names are cool :D. MFFW will make a final choice from the top 2 or 3...

Haha, I put a stick through one of my tires too. A couple plugs, good as new (I hope!) Thanks for the pics, Jeff. We were having too much fun to take any!

    New trail needs a name...

Thanks guys, great suggestions! Keep 'em coming, and if there is some meaning beyond just a cool sounding name, let me know. I think I'll keep this open for a couple days, then select a few and do a poll so everyone can vote. We are planning to do some more work on the trail this Sunday, so if...

    New trail needs a name...

Okay, so Moab Friends-For-Wheelin', along with help from Badbuggy, are making a new trail out at Area BFE. It will be rated moderate to difficult, with the potential for some great optional obstacles, and hopefully at least one extreme loop. We need to come up with a new name that fits in with...

    Coyote Canyon! It's Time.

I got to meet with one of the area land owners today (not Kiley!). This couple is building a huge vacation home accross from BFE, and plan to retire there eventually. When they heard about Coyote (from Kiley, of course), they were concerned, and wrote a comment against it on the Moab...
