    What are your NPLD plans?

Kane Creek went well. 5 rigs, 12 people. We flagged the best route in the creek bottom. The beginning of the trail is getting soooo washed out, several places were down-right scary. Oh, and I think my dog broke his leg jumping out of the Jeep, he's at the vet right now :(.

    Moab trail difficulty

Flat Iron, probably 11th or 12th place with all the hard lines. Duel rating is hard because most trails can be as easy or as hard as you make them.

    Moab trail difficulty

My opinion. 1 - Pritchet: including Rocker Knocker, right side Yellow Hill, Rock Pile bypass. Driving Rock Pile = 5+ 2 - Hells Revenge: all obstacles including Hell's Gate, Micky's Hot Tub and the Escalator 3 - Metal Masher: including Rock Chucker, Widowmaker and Mother-in-law Hill 4 -...

National Park Service> Off-Road Vehicle Use in Glen Canyon

Short, but hopefully to the point. "I utilize the Glen Canyon area in my Jeep and would ask that motorized access be maintained. Specifically the Hole in the Rock trail which is in need of major road work due to the washout in Lake Canyon. I would also like to see the Park Service officially...

    Moab RMP Side Thread

Like I've said before, I'd be happy to be someones "poster child" if they want to pursue an ADA-type claim. I have a form of Muscular Dystrophy, and my Jeep is the ONLY way I can get in the backcountry. My Jeep is my legs, although, just like me, it does occasionally fall over!! I guess...

    Moab RMP meeting

The meeting last night seemed to go very well. It was an open house-style format, with various displays and a 17 slide power point display on continuous loop. They did have a limited number of hard copies of the RMP and maps, I was able to get one if anybody would like to look at it. The RMP...

    Vodka and the Monsignor

A new priest at his first mass was so nervous he could hardly speak. After mass he asked the monsignor how he had done. The monsignor replied, "When I am worried about getting nervous on the pulpit, I put a glass of vodka next to the water glass. If I start to get nervous, I take a sip."...

    I need a favor. . .

Thanks guys, but the guy ended up selling it for $4200, too much for "another Jeep" says my wife. When I first saw it, he was asking 2k, then bumped it to 3k, which was about my limit, then bumped it up even more. Oh well. I'm still looking for an MB though. g503.com is the end all in...

    BLM Moab Resource Managment Plan

FWIW My personal opinion is: Alterative A - best option, but least likely; Alterative D - next best, but probably unrealistic in it succeeding; Alterative C - not bad, not good, but not bad, most likely to be chosen; Alterative B - SUWA's wet dream, pray it never happens. Basically I think C...
