Thanks guys, definitely stoked! The lower bolsters feel WAY easier to get in and out so far. He built me some new plate seat mounts and lowered the seats as well, so tons of head room for this lurp. I'll definitely post an update about the seats once I get some time in behind the wheel. Also...

all done! plan to start painting this within the next couple weeks. i swear these PRP seats are 15lbs lighter than my old corbeau's, should make-up for some of that added tube weight.

Got a guy building a cage and tying in my new PRP seats and 4 points. Getting started:

This sounds awesome! I would be in for next year, my rig could use a little more work aimed at driver comfort for a trip like this. I was just watching videos of the Rubicon trail, thinking to myself "it would be awesome to plan a 4 day wheelin/camping trip with a small group"

got a shot up AF Canyon, this is towards the beginning of Forest Lake. its a little muddy at the beginning of the trail, made it a little more challenging for some of the harder lines but it was a good time. definitely gave the ARB a good workout for the first little bit of the trail.

several years back i had a chevy big block begin to spin a bearing. it wasnt hard in my situation, i just pulled the crank, had it turned and matched it with a new set of bearings. i think mine was caught early, before it had a chance to fully spin and damage the journal. having my crank...

hopefully this is looking pretty drive-able by now?! i'm looking forward to giving the yota a simple shakedown, to make sure everything is working as it should.

getting shocks, driveline and alignment figured out today. she drives great so far, drove her to work this morning! :cool:

as much as i liked this rig red, the new tube does look pretty awesome! she's a beast. if you decide to pull the old 22r, think you'll stay with a yota motor? a super charged 3.4L would be pretty sweet in that rig! :cool:

finally have some more updates on this. pulled the old trans, this one has had problems slipping out of 1st and 3rd gear since the day i bought the truck. i'v got a freshly rebuilt top shift for dirt cheap to replace it. new top shift trans forgot to take a picture of the new/old gears...

OK, that makes sense. I'll definitely try the uphill thing next time I get the welder out as well. Thanks for the info., much appreciated. :cool:
