    ZMotorSports 2011 JKUR Build Thread

I think I forgot to post another little project that I completed over this past week. I couldn't get my driving lights on my front bumper to work and before thinking I wired something wrong during my wiring condensing exercise, I figured I would test power at the relay. I had power going to...

    ZMotorSports 2011 JKUR Build Thread

Thank you. I'm quite pleased with the way it's turned out, especially this last upgrade. She's still in pretty good condition for being 8 years old and having nearly 100k on the clock. And it is now even more fun to drive, which I didn't think was possible. Mike

    ZMotorSports 2011 JKUR Build Thread

So I crossed a couple more items off of the list the other night on the Jeep. I’ve always ran 12-volt air compressors for airing up my tires after off-roading. With all of my previous Jeeps I used portable units that I merely took out of the back and connected to my battery when finishing up...

I've tried Russ, but I simply can't get rid of it.:D I have about 300 miles on her now and grin like an idiot every time I turn that key and hear that V8 roar to life. It is Soooo nice to be able to get up to speed on the on ramp and actually merge in with traffic without having to wait for...

    High School TJ build

That's turning out to be a nice little TJ and a GREAT father/son project. I'll bet when he returns there will be a lot more fun to be had between wrenching and wheeling. Mike

    Northern Utah RME Snow Run?

I would love to go but I'm still trying to put on break in miles on my new setup. Subscribed to follow along. Mike

    Best top fast back

If you haven't purchased your Trektop NX yet, I may be selling mine here soon. Kind of on the fence about it. Let me know if you are interested at all. It is only about 4 years old and has been on for four seasons in very good condition. This is for a JKU. Mike

Trip Report 2019 Winter 4x4 Jamboree

I watched a few vids of the weekend and it looked like a gooey mess with the rain. They even commented on a couple of the videos that obstacles that usually were not really that bad became pretty hairy due to the wet sand and mud getting tracked onto the rocks. Thanks for the report out. Mike

    My work/tow rig... (constant changes)

Looks like a pretty clean truck Greg. That L96 is a great engine and I'm assuming the transmission is a 6L90 which you will also really like. Mike

    Transfer case rebuild

They aren't bad to do, I have some pictures of my son's NP231 torn apart over on garagejournal on my projects thread but not a step by step. Good snap ring pliers that were suggested is a good starting point. As for sealant, I'm a fan of the GM ES (Engine Sealant) and use it almost...

    ZMotorSports 2011 JKUR Build Thread

Nothing too hi-tech going on last night. Mainly I cleaned the shop and discarded a lot of parts and boxes that are no longer needed then decided to tackle my engine cover mounting. Many of these taller truck/SUV LS swaps that I have seen aren’t running the engine cover due to hood clearance...

I actually have two videos of the build process up on my YouTube channel and working on getting the third and final video edited then posted. I may even do a follow up of driving impressions after I get some miles on it but not sure if that is something people would want to see or not. Mike

    ZMotorSports 2011 JKUR Build Thread

I put the last item on the Jeep last night for this project. I wasn’t going to put any badging on it revealing what’s under the hood, but I changed my mind and decided to give a little hint, just in case the tone of the exhaust isn’t enough. Unfortunately I wasn’t unable to find any L94 badges...

It comes with the length to exit under the rear bumper but I didn't like that and dumped it right after the rear track bar. The same place my MBRP system dumped on my 3.8 liter engine. I like it much better for departure angle and less chance of getting damaged. Thanks for following. Mike

    ZMotorSports 2011 JKUR Build Thread

Last night was a long night. I thought I would throw the exhaust in if and be on a test drive but no such luck. Clearances were a bit more problematic to get everything perfect to allow for both full droop as well as full compression of the suspension. Rather than mess around with random cuts I...
