South-East Utah Moab; Pickle next weekend?

Sounds good and I’ll shoot for 10 as well. Already aired down, so hopefully on the trail by 10:30.

South-East Utah Moab; Pickle next weekend?

Ok sucka I’m in, just let me know where you wanna meet up. I shouldn’t need to stop anywhere in town unless you do.

What time will you be rolling into Moab? Kicking it around since I missed out on the recent SH thing.

Comp and Trail, Wraith Buggy Build, My first buggy.

I talked to him a couple times while sourcing some rear steer parts maybe 3-ish years ago. I don’t really know him beyond that. 🤷‍♂️ Sounds like you really pissed him off, Nate. Apparently, to the point he won’t even talk to Ryan. 😉

Cool. Was thinking Jake may have sold him on one of his setups. 🤷‍♂️

Just curious, will your rear steer pump be elec. over hydraulic or engine driven?

Electric vs. "fossil fuel"- how will electric vehicles affect off-roading?

True, but there will always be the stubborn crowd keeping their old junk until not a viable option. 🤘

Electric vs. "fossil fuel"- how will electric vehicles affect off-roading?

These will be appealing aspects to many for sure. If it’s as simple as that, cool. To each their own. 👍 The “tinfoil hat” side of my brain has concerns that the same advanced technology that allow for the conveniences such as quiet operation/reliability, will at some point be used to interfere...

Electric vs. "fossil fuel"- how will electric vehicles affect off-roading?

Makes more sense for electric sxs’ to be embraced by the masses (although I’ll be as opposed to them as automotive-based 4x4s). They’ll most likely attract new buyers adding to an already massive (and often problematic) user group, but that’s a different conversation.

Electric vs. "fossil fuel"- how will electric vehicles affect off-roading?

You’re definitely a better man than I. 😂 I’m motivated to fab/weld, turn wrenches, and wheel for me (and my trips have become far and few between). It’s also a lifestyle that pre-dates them. If a girlfriend/spouse/kids wanna come, I’m super accommodating and will make it happen to almost any...

Electric vs. "fossil fuel"- how will electric vehicles affect off-roading?

Regardless of any EV’s “pros” and even if they have superior capabilities in any way, the underlying (and far broader) issue for many will be the soulless, disconnected driving experience. The sounds, smells, and feel associated with modern and vintage 4x4s (having conventional...

South-West Utah 6th Annual Jared Memorial Run November 3rd-5th

Welp, here’s proof of a loaded rig before midnight with intentions to meet y’all in the AM. However, the girlfriend just informed me that we have no water. 😳 Anyway, looks like I’m swapping out a well pump control box before she hosts a baby shower or some sort of ritual nonsense tomorrow. 😿...

Sounds dangerously close to Tacoma “Quicksand” then… scratch the wood grain and just submit to traction boards and a RTT.

    Sandy the buggy

Still can’t tell from the pics whether the vintage color is more of a brown or yellow-ish tone. 🤷‍♂️ Maybe a Tacoma expo rig owner can confirm. 😉 Regardless, it’s crying out for a tall horizontal wood-grain stripe down each side panel. That’ll fix it.

    Your Pic of The Day

I’d say that’s respectable. Although, if your planned load is just too much for the Goshzilla, I can be en route.😉❤️
