I have a small concrete project I'd love to complete...

4" is standard around here. At Ucart you can buy it by the 1/4 yard, so measure well and you won't have to deal with a bunch of leftovers. I don't have the time right now to help, but I have all the tools you would need.

    Decent TBI 350...

Sounds like many a good beer are about to give their lives for a good cause.

    Decent TBI 350...

Yank it out, disassemble it, and get the block, rods, crank, and heads into the machine shop. Then bring it to me and we'll break out the Summit catalog. You'll be pleasantly surprised what that engine is capable of for very little money.

    Leaving Utax

The weather and the smallish town feel was the deciding factors. Not to mention, clean air will be a nice change. Kingman has a good hospital (yes, my daughter and her family will be moving as well) and all of life's necessities like Sam's, Walmart, etc. We'll likely break ground early next...

    replacement leaf springs

I've installed worse fitting U bolts. Spread them so they drop on, them use a clamp to narrow them to fit the axle plate.

    replacement leaf springs

What Greg said, or just use a couple of jack handles as cheater bars to spread them. I don't think I've ever bought a new set of U bolts and had them drop right in, they always need some tweaking. Rather than do all that running around crap, if you can't get the new ones on I'd stick the old...

Definitely NOT Hawaii! My family is from there, moved to the mainland after Pearl Harbor and the major local depression afterwards. I went one time to see some relatives I rarely see. That was enough for me. To the others, I won't even stop for gas in St George, and last time I checked Sun...

Not exactly true. I'll be paying 50% of the property tax I do now, sales tax is 2 1/2% lower as well as income tax. Not to mention housing costs 50% of here in the valley, and my snow blowing days will soon be in the past. And don't get me started on the traffic! Utah was a pretty great place...

    Leaving Utax

We're about to do what I never thought I'd do. But after this latest property tax increase, and more on the horizon, the time has come to leave. We have an area picked out. I can buy double the house I have here, and still pay less tax. So now, I raise this question. If you could move...

    replacement leaf springs

Load your truck up as you'd normally be running it, and take it into AAA Spring on 9th west. They'll make exactly what you need, and they're relatively inexpensive as well.

We're stumped: why would a Chevy 350 have (almost) no oil pressure?

You know who to call for help.... ;)

    Slide-in camper tech?

I've always set my campers on cinder blocks, although something taller would be nice. Once you see what those jacks are attached to, you'll see the need for the extra support. The jacks really aren't attached by much and I wouldn't trust them. Having dropped a camper once, it's not something I'd...

I did exactly what you're contemplating. All I can say is DON'T DO IT! I still miss my LJ.

Jeep Help needed Cherokee XJ with spun rod bearing

At a bare minimum, you'll need a set of main and rod bearings, at least one new connecting rod, a crank grind, new oil pump, and a complete gasket set. That'll get you back to your 160k original engine. I'd be all over that used engine, it's a no brainer if it'll work.

One was Lewis, he got his degree and is out of that now. I don't think he's been on in years though.
