Definitely a great event!! I had a blast, good people, good times and good weather. Loved the mini KOH course too! I know somebody has to have some videos, lets see them.
it was actually pretty funny, since it wasn't my truck:D. It was ok though, we ended up camping out that night on the trail. Woke up the next morning and got it running, and made it back into town for some breakfast at Denny's!
In that case may I suggest you have someone with some experience do all of the important welding, such as spring mounts, etc. We don't want this to be a rolling death trap!:D
In my opinion, after wheeling something small, lightweight, and maneuverable, I would never go back to a big heavy pig. Besides, who needs street legal, I know my next rig will be a buggy.
I had a 2000 Silverado that had trouble shifting in and out of 4wd and all it was was the switch assembly on the dash. I think it was about $75 from the dealer, just pull the old one and plug in the new one.
