    Coyote Canyon status?

That doesn't change the fact that it is closed. Running it illegally will make it harder to get it established on the map of legal routes.

Right now, buy CMC and AA.

Haven't been to Sranton yet? wtf?

It's a cool area to explore. There are a lot of mines and prospects on the USGS maps above the main mine at the bottom of the canyon. In a meeting with the DOGM 3 years ago, I asked about plans for reclaiming Scranton, they didn't even know about it. Hopefully it's safe, but it's definitely...

AF Canyon needs a couple trucks with winches

Great! I've called to let them know they've got help available. I'll call meat when I hear back from them, assume it's on. Thanks all!

    Fees at five mile pass

Yup, that's why the road was originally "improved". Last year the FS was committed to stopping this housing development, have you or anyone heard of any fight to slow down the work or is it over and done?

    Fuel price info here>>>>

Looks like a lot of people were forced to surf other websites when RME was down. :) Driving from Dallas to Missouri today, I paid 3.89 for diesel in Dallas and $3.49 for diesel in eastern Oklahoma. Regular gas in eastern Oklahoma and southwestern Missouri is $2.79 a gallon. All crazy.

AF Canyon needs a couple trucks with winches

A bunch of "Er, maybe" talk going on. 2 dudes with trucks, winches and winching skills step up and commit, and I'll the FS. 6 hours of work, what time do you want to meet the ranger at tibble fork? Call me Friday am to confirm and it can be setup, after that it's no go. It's all no go if...

Gov Huntsman: ORV off-trail damage an 'abomination'

Written communication is sequential and documented. Don't read non-verbal communication into what's being written. Let's document the discussion here, or somewhere. Post up the response you sent to the Trib and Gehrke and I'll help provide any critique or recommendations if it will be...

AF Canyon needs a couple trucks with winches

Oh yeah, duh. Ok, now I know what you're talking about. Man, I hate to have to put a fence there. Where does it end? I guess more fences is better than more closures.

Gov Huntsman: ORV off-trail damage an 'abomination'

Challenge the misquote in public, with the Trib, not on private email lists. You should be upset that your statements were so twisted and used to enforce the idea that off-trail riding/driving is justified. Howl for a retraction. Scream until you get one. Don't just say they were wrong...

    Price area trails in trouble

I'm sure they have the data. If it wasn't addressed during the comment or protest periods, then there is probably very little that can be done other than to try and get the routes included through the usual (nearly impossible) process of designating a new route.

    Before you vote....

ACORN has also been caught involving themselves in highly questionable voter registration campaigns. They've been caught registering known non-citizens, ineligible voters, and dead people. ACORN is fairly active here in Dallas, so I've encountered them a few times. Although they claim to be...

Gov Huntsman: ORV off-trail damage an 'abomination'

We often hear that "99%" of OHV users are responsible, never travel off-trail, and don't leave trash. But as you note, if it's only 1% then there must be a lot more OHV rec going on than we're aware of. The damage is obvious almost everywhere. It doesn't help that damage can occur quickly...

    Palin, WTF!?

And this is just the damage he'll do to motorized rec in Utah, a small part of the larger world. There's increased government, income redistribution, socialized medicine, weakening of the armed forces, increased taxes for ALL Americans paying taxes, and on and on and on. Palin does come off...

AF Canyon needs a couple trucks with winches

I'm not sure I know specifically what you're referring to. The little route out of the water to the kilns was fenced last year. Got a picture of what you're talking about? The idea of winching trees and boulders into place is to stop that kind of stuff before it becomes pronounced and...

AF Canyon needs a couple trucks with winches

Focus would be blocking bypasses and illegal side routes, so proximity to the main routes is expected.

Gov Huntsman: ORV off-trail damage an 'abomination'

I don't think I'd say they are standing in the way, but their actions and statements seem negative against the idea of increased enforcement. Enforcement is key. We've already been told that U4WDA's support (or lack of support) is not a concern for USA-ALL, so we have little to no...

Gov Huntsman: ORV off-trail damage an 'abomination'

The gov is more motorcross which has little to do with public lands. Enforcement would be nice, but USA-ALL seems to be against that idea.
