Well I am gonna try really hard to make it. Just not looking forward to driving my gutless 4 banger up through the canyon:rolleyes: Especially with only about 25 miles on it since completion. Looks like this is turning into an all toyota run.:D

Give me another week or two and I'm down, my truck is finally on the road. Just need to get a little more time behind the wheel to work out any issues before I take any longer trips.

Well, I finally made some progress again. Got my front shaft to work after quite the effort-had to pull the 2 bottom leaves out of the front pack, put in 4 degree shims, grind the sh!t out of the yoke, and then run it upside down. Also threw in Trail Gears triple drilled flanges on the diff...

So a single joint off a later model rear will do more angle than a cv off a later model front??

Well thanks for all the help guys, I've got a buddy with a bunch of toyotas so I'm gonna go see what he has layin around but looks like I'll probably be running a cv. i was hoping not to just for simplicity but I don't think I have much choice. I'll keep you guys posted, thanks

Well I finally got my front shaft back today and have already run into problems. I am running the Trail Gear 12" Spline kit with single joints on both ends. i figured that with as long as the front shaft is(38" at ride height) that the single joints would have enough angle but it is binding up...

Yeah, it still isn't done yet, work has been way too crazy to have time to work on it. Hopefully soon though, I'll let you guys know.

Its Painted Well, just rolled it out and peeled all the tape off. Overall I'm pretty happy considering I spent about $25 and maybe 6 hours.:D Definitely not perfect but it'll work for what it is.

Well the glass fenders are gone and I got a bobbed 2nd gen bed, and I got bored tonight so I started painting. Rustoleum O.D. Satin:D Didn't have all the prep work done but I really wanted to see the color on it so I started anyway. Should have it done in the next day or 2.

Back when I had my 85 Chevy, I blew the trans in it and i took it to Gordon Turner in Salt Lake. Not sure if he is still building trannies but he did it out of his garage. He does really good work and has great prices, I think I had a full rebuild on mine plus a shift kit and new torque...
