No prob man... For those interested, we went up 040 and everyone was doing great, so we kept on going up the switchbacks. We took 157 around and dropped down to Forest Lake. From there, we took the 4x4 road out and back to Tibble Fork.

For what its worth, I've liked my Alpinestars but am tired of tweeking or tearing off the steel tips. My next pair of boots will be the molded sole type. Looks like Forma has the Evo with such a sole and moderately priced. What are your thoughts/opinion of these Paul?

I wish I had an answer for ya man... there are still a lot of trails I haven't been on up here. I've only accessed that singletrack system from the Woodland side.

I believe stillwell can make 4cs work along with kreft and a few others. They'll all be in the $1200 to $1500 range though. Alan did the susp. on my old bike's open chamber forks.

Just for the hell of it, read the customer reviews on Kreft's site regarding suspension work on bikes with the 4CS (especially the '14 300 XC). Its interesting to see how many people are having serious issues with these forks, and its always the same complaint.

Ideally, I think people should have a 2stroke and 4stroke if they're doing a wide variety of riding. For Baja, 4stroke is what ya want.
