Oso Flaco Lake is at the south end of the dunes area and feeds the stream that goes out to the ocean. Maiden Form Flats is just north of the lake over a large hill. Competition Hill is more or less in the middle of the dunes. Thanks for the memories.

Makes me think of the "Pismo Sand Nationals" in the 1970's. Did you have any luck keeping sand out of your food? Did you go to Maiden Form Flats, Oso Flaco Lake, or the old Competition Hill?

When I was doing it (Korea) there was no thought of sacrifice it was just the thing to do. I personally have great love and appreciation for those that gave more. When we came home there was no fanfare so it is gratifying to see the appreciation and patriotism shone today. God bless them all.
