Cool shot, and determination yes.. But, I can't help but think of, "slow is smooth and smooth is fast".. That photo is the opposite of smooth, no matter how badass it may be. That is why he DNF'd.

    Noob Tire/Rim Question

Must have a mullet and cut off sleeve flannel shirt to properly run a 10" wide wheel. I ran a 17x9 with my 38" and 37" tires. I loved that, and would've loved an 8" wide wheel even more. Another benefit not mentioned is that the narrower wheel will help to pull the tire in just a bit, which...

have some weights on them there rims... First impression, I regretted the buy. There was an awful howling on the freeway. Then I realised that there was a 50mph side wind creating the awful howling. The tires themselves have a quiet, higher pitched whine. It sounds like most average cars IMO...

Phone rings.... Me "This is Jason" Tech "Hey, uh, your tires don't fit" Me "Front or back?" Tech "Uh, the back of the wheel well is rubbing." Me "Front or back wheel well?" Tech "Back of the front wheel well, it's rubbing." Me "Are the tires at full turn or in the straight position?"...

On the tires? Or the mounting? Tires, I had a 10% off coupon code on top of their already lowered current 'sale price'. These tires are vastly cheaper than a brand spanking new tire. I paid $106.04 per tire.

I didn't specify which carcass I got, so long as it is E load I'm fine with whatever. I did specify that the set match, which is something I think they try to do anyways. I was told to expect 4-5 week delivery, and it was exactly 3 weeks from order to delivered.

The ones that are coming off are worn down 255/85-16 Interco Trxus. Awesome tire, incredible traction in snow and mud.. Sad to see them go. I should pick the truck up around 5pm today, so pics will follow shortly after that.

    SAMI's Xterra "Stalker"

The sidewalls are generally the original sidewalls from the casing. One good benefit to these tires is that they are already 'broken in' if you air down for some wheeling. What exactly are you after in asking about the sidewalls? Thickness? Durability? Those all depend solely on what casing...

You oughta go for these. 235/85's are a kickass size, and would be stellar on your zuk. $90 buck a pop. Or these if you have 15" wheels; $66 a pop, and C load rated.. So a bit more forgiving than an E load rated tire under a zuk.

Suzuki Steve's '97 4-door Sidekick Build (the real build thread)

FWIW, I had it routed cleanly on the '85 since it was mounted 24/7. It came through the sun roof, hidden in the healiner, down the A-pillar under the plastic, under the carpet over to the center console where the CB was mounted.

Shut it in the door. The weather stripping gave way enough that the cord did not get pinched or flattened.

Suzuki Steve's '97 4-door Sidekick Build (the real build thread)

Here's the '85.. Mounted right behind the sun roof. Looks like the antenna was off that day. Just unscrewed from the mount itself. Here on the '99 I slapped it on the rear and routed the cord out the rear hatch. Then I upgraded to an NMO style mount/antenna and mounted on the frond...
