    Helicopter Pilot????

Something to think about, you are going to be competing for jobs with people that have had more training and more experience then you can ever pay for!! It is hard to compete with pilots that have military/combat experience.

    Seats......What's your fav?

Go to Smiths and pick up a Sand Sport magazine and see who has the best deal....Beard and PRP's are always on sale somewhere. From my experience Beard/PRP/Mastercraft and all quality seats, with the PRP ussually being the best value.

    welding to cast center section

Can't remember the number but I have used a high nickle rod on cast several times. I know I should preheat, but never have....Just the rod. I do make my brackets with atleast 2x as much surface to weld as I normally would. As has been said, bridge if you can....even if it is plate welded to...

    Getting Narrow

Just for reference, my front is 78"ish aired up, about 82" bulge to bulge when aired down. That is full width Ford 60, 8" rims w/ 3 5/8" bs, 38x12.50x15 sx's, but I am running 1/2ton brakes....

Yep, a 4.3 2spd Atlas is lower than the 205/203 combo;)

    "The Punisher"

A one link is also simple/light/compact, and would not have the jacking issues a single link/single r-arm will have. Or even leave lowers as is and add an single centered upper? Is the frt a single r-arm to? same side or opposite side?

    Doubler Dilema

Yep, same as yo would with the planetary option....the 4 spd Atlas is more or less a 241 hooked to an Atlas....dana 300/231/241 to c4, but that adpt is around 2" shorter than the stock c4 to 20 adpt....4spd atlas with a stubby rear output is hardly any longer than you are now.... Just call me...

And.... I had the Tera gears for a while, they were ok, but not much lower than stock:( I was impressed that they held up to my abuse:cool:

    Doubler Dilema

What I was suggesting is the 231/241 planetary, not the whole case. I think it is Mad Rooster that is working on the DIY range box using the planetary and a EB 20. You would need a c4 to 300/231/241 adapter (about the same $ as the 203 adapter) Used 231/241 are about the same $ as 203, Mad...

TJ V8 swap - best combo

Basically what I was thinking.... There are some after market dist-less ignitions....but $$$$

    Doubler Dilema

Really no strength difference from 300 to 20 in stock config, and HD aftermarket stuff is about the same for both. c4 or c6 to 300 adapter gets $$ (but need for a 241/231/Klune). And the biggest issue with a 300 is that it is a pside drop and the EB is a dside dif....so to use a 300 you would...

TJ V8 swap - best combo

SBC and 700r4 or 4Lxxx, cheapest/simple/easy. There are ways around the dist. and MORE has pre-made motor mnts. Add a Howell harnes ang it is basically plug and play!!

    Doubler Dilema

Keep the C4. It will hold up fine and a C6 is huge and sucks power!! I would say either the Klune or one of the DIY Klune clones that are on POR. And keep your 20. You have the HD rear output already, the only weak spot will be your front output. I did blow 2 of those, but at least one was...
