Gas tank question for chevy truck experts

The tank that came out of the truck didn't have a fuel pump in the tank so I didn't pick up the other side. I wonder if the truck really was a TBI truck or if they put the fuel pump external to the tank. The engine was gone from the truck so I couldn't check to see if it had the TBI on it. He...

    I suck at saving

Car payments are also not a part of life. I've never had a car payment, just live with what you have for a few years and pay yourself the car payment. Once you have enough saved up buy the car but keep paying yourself the car payment to cover the next one. Or just build a jeep, that's what I do.

Gas tank question for chevy truck experts

My 85 K30 sprung a very expensive leak (lost a full tank of mid grade when we were gone camping). It appears that the plastic cover underneath the tank held too much crap against the tank and eventually rusted a hole through it. I found a guy parting out an 87 K20 and he has some tanks but I...

    Will a 92 4.0l head fit on a 99???

The 92 head will have a bit bigger valves and a temperature gauge sending unit hole in the back of the head that the 99 doesn't have but other than that I would think it would work.

    Ford NP205 transfercase noise

205s are gear driven and don't have chains. I would guess a bearing. I have a ford 205 in the garage for cheap if you need one.

    Slip Yoke Eliminator Kits

You can use a 90-91 Dodge 241 and combine it with your chevy 241 input parts to get a low cost SYE. I found one at the picknpull for less than $100 on their 30% off sale.

    Sick Scrambler

That is exactly what happens when the electrical system isn't grounded properly. As Tacoma suggests check the grounding straps to make sure the battery connects solidly to the engine, the frame and the body. Many of the ground returns are just wires that screw into the body and these grounds...

    Moab Oct 16-18th

We are planning on being there Thursday late to Saturday afternoon. We should have my son's red MJ, my SIL white XJ, possibly my blue Scrambler, my brother's orange Rubicon and some others. My son wants to do Golden Spike but some of the others are newbies so we may be going mellow.

    Sandblasters

I have the HF one and it works OK as long as the air is very dry. As soon as it get the least bit moist I have to shake while using it. The valves also didn't last long.

    NPLD at 5 Mile Pass

Nice meeting everyone, I was glad we nearly filled the dumpster up. We cleaned up the areas south of the parking area and found plenty of shot up TVs, cans, treadmill, tire, burnt up camp chairs, half filled vodka bottles, and a bunch of other nasty stuff. For an area that is closed to shooting...
