    Protest at Muddy Creek

OK great! For some reason, I thought it was this weekend and I missed it. I'd like to be there to watch the fun.

    wheelin this saturday oct 7th

Forest Lake has gotten worse in the last two seasons due to runoff carving out the trail. Also, it'll be nice and muddy on Saturday.

    Trail inventory at 5MP

Let U4WDA know about the trail you're working on. It might be one we or someone else is also working. It also might already be on the BLM inventory. That's the point of what we're trying to do. What's on the inventory, what's not, what would we like established as a trail, what old roads can...

    American Fork

The mail only gets delivered to me once a month, so be prepared to wait a little while. For some reason, it's hard to get anyone to go to our PO Box and pick up the mail more often.

    Trail inventory at 5MP

No one is talking down to anyone. I've already explained this in the PM. I don't give a crap about "rock trails". It is completely outside my area of interest in terms of wheeling. U4WDA's members do, so that's the only reason I want to see RS/CON stay open along with trying to open some...

    Trail inventory at 5MP

Good deal, go ahead and send the info. If we can keep RS/CON opened, we might have a chance of getting these other trails added. If we don't know about them, we'll have to wait until the next travel plan revision. Could be 10 to 20 years. Once the open travel area goes away, it'll be harder...

    New trails- the procedure

In addition to our efforts to work with the SL BLM, the state is trying to collect an inventory of all trails or possible trails. The idea is to setup the infrastructure to defend these roads in the future.

    New trails- the procedure

Check out this post: http://www.rockymountainextreme.com/showthread.php?t=37215 There's a chance that some of these "secret" trails are already on the inventory. If they are, we can make a case to open them and make them legal. If they aren't we might be able to get them added. If we...

    Trail inventory at 5MP

As most are aware, the Salt Lake BLM Field Office is developing a new travel plan to be released next year. Every Forest unit and BLM office in the country is required to evaluate and publish new travel plans in the next two years. As of right now, Rattlesnake and Constrictor are on the...

Another Local U-Tuber in the water?

I think Houndoc is referring to the recent attack on the FJ Cruiser guy who was bogging through Forest Lake. We shouldn't be posting stuff like this at all. In recent weeks, some photos of off-trail activity were posted at a local board. Within days, everyone in the Forest unit where the...

Is the motorized community winning the access battle?

It's in "Land Use", so not many people come here. A post about someone's hairy butt in "Chit-Chat" might get 1,000+ views.

    New trails- the procedure

If it's an open area, then you can travel up anything. However, there aren't many of those left. The ones that are still around will be redesignated to "established routes only" by next year. Everyone knows that every Forest unit and BLM office in the country is required to produce a new...

Me too, looks like they've already been deleted tho. I even left a very civil, polite comment.

Me too. I'm sure we'd find more common ground than either of us might guess.

First, that's not all you said. I would be embarassed to repeat the statements you made. Second, no one said you were threatening anything. You were just making innapropriate posts. No big deal.

I like James, and regularly laugh at his humorous posts. He might not like me, but that's ok.

Is the motorized community winning the access battle?

Exactly right. Every FS unit and BLM field office will be reviewing and revising their travel plans in the next two years. We will definitely lose some trails in the process. How much we lose depends on how active people get.
