    The end is near.

Pics of Pumpkinbronc's recent work. He just put in a 203/205 doubler, F-150 rear springs to lengthen the wheelbase, and the "civilian beadlocks" that John351C sells. Looks pretty good.

    The Beginning

Well, believe it or not, My wife and I ( with the help of a strap and a come-along ) pulled it off the end of the tailgate and then I balanced it as she let it down with the come along. Went pretty smooth actually. (She's quite proud of herself. She even got greasy! ) After moving that...

    The Beginning

You guessed it. Coils all around and some type of HD link suspension. I still haven't had time to crawl under it and do much figuring. The front fit looks to be better than i thought it might, but we are just gettin started. I'll probably move the bacK as far back as I can to get some driveshaft...

    The Beginning

Finally decided to take the plunge and get the Bronc back in action! Nothing like a set of portals to give a guy some incentive to get building. Thanks Bryson. Now I have a whole lot of learnin' to do!

    Did anybody see this?

I think we should invite Lisa Church to a few clean up projects. My bet is she would not show up and if she did she would find a negative slant to base her story on.

    Single axle trailer discussion

I have the firestones on my F-250. Once you pump em' up they should stay at the pressure you want. No need for a pump, except at the gas station. Cost is about $225 or so.

No, it's a cool idea. Why not use some air bags for springs?

    Ramsey Customer Survey Anyone???

Took the survey! That was kind of fun finally getting to tell them how much I have enjoyed near death experiences thanks to their crummy design/service.

    Any Ramsey owners here?

My bro' has one he bought at Mepco about 10 years ago and it is one dangerous piece of (*&IT. It has been back to Ramsey a half dozen times to be fixed and still isn't right. It randomly releases the load as your using it. I am surprised that someone hasn't sued them out of business yet! He...

Attn Ocnorb: Tell us about your hydro bender setup

WOW! I don't wanna mess with you! When I was bending on the floor stand manually it took two of us with great effort on the end of a six foot extension pipe to bend up the 2" DOM. The smaller stuff is alot easier. The biggest advantage to the hydraulics is accuracy. It's pretty tough to...

Attn Ocnorb: Tell us about your hydro bender setup

BTW if you look at the specs of a Model 4 bender that comes hydro it has 1 1/8 hp motor. There is a video of one working on M-techs website. http://mtechsales.com/products/Benders/smallbenders.shtml

Attn Ocnorb: Tell us about your hydro bender setup

You could- but you would probably want to size the pump and motor a little bigger for that. The mechanical leverage of the arm on the bender is what makes it poss for such a low HP to work so good.

    Check out these drivelines! WOW!

I remember the article- Wasn't it about Conroy joints? Or are these the same thing?

    Susuki Samurai Lawsuit?

I hope they win! Then I can sue them, too. I bought mine brand new in 1987 for $7500. After CR came out with their rollover data the resale value dropped to almost nothing. Do you think they would award me the difference in resale value and back interest?

Best Out of the Box Wheeler...(bang for the buck)

I tell anybody that asks me to buy a Toyota with the TRD package. 3 of my co-workers have bought them in the last 2 yrs on my advice and they couldn't be happier.

Attn Ocnorb: Tell us about your hydro bender setup

Yeah, I would think 3/4 hp would be plenty. You want to set up your belt and pulleys to get the pump at the RPM you want. You could use a motor that runs at 3600 and then "gear it down" by using a driven pulley that is about twice the size of your motor pulley to turn the pump at 1800. The spec...
