tear it out or clean the carpet?

Might be worth a trip to a good detail shop. You might be surprized at what they can do. A good shop can easily get rid of the odor. If they can't get the oil up, a set of Husky liners will hide it well, and be a ton less work than replacing it.

tear it out or clean the carpet?

I lined the interior of my 4 Runner. It looks good the day you do it, after that, not so much. It's tough stuff, but it never really comes clean again. also, the interior is much colder in the winter months. I'd clean what you have, and call it good enough. I mean, it's a Jeep after all...

    Yet another LONG build thread

Glad you're enjoying my misery....... Hey, since you're the Chebby parts king of Toolee county, would you happen to have an early 80's bed floating around? I hate the filler neck protruding out the side on Blazers. And I don't understand why people don't cure that when they fix them up? Maybe...

    Yet another LONG build thread

Well, as promised, it will be a LONG build. The weather is turning nice, so other priorities (playing) are taking up most of my time. The passenger side of the Blazer is pretty much done. The import sheet metal parts I've been using have been very hit and miss. The more complicated parts...

    Tires for Delta comp

In my opinion, yes, 1.4a spells it out pretty clearly. Plus, I think there is a definite advantage to a flat bed over the stock sheet metal. But what do I know.....

    Tires for Delta comp

Is that your truck in your avitar? If so, I don't think you'll make the stock class anyway due to your lack of sheet metal out back.

Just a reminder, we're still in need of officials. Come on people, you know you want to. Even if you've never judged, there will be plenty of folks there who have to teach you the ropes. I'll guarantee you'll have a blast, plus you'll have the best seat in the house as far as viewing the action...

what to dooo... what to doo...poll

Not that you'll listen, but you're going about it wrong. If the 302's that great, keep the engine and gear that POS. You already said you can't wheel it, even with the new engine, so what's the point? So you can pop the hood in your driveway and show people who stop by how cool you are because...

    Lets talk about camp stoves

If you're wanting liquid fuel, that first Coleman is the one for you. I have that one, and it works great. I think you'll find the second burner will be used a lot more than you think, and although it is kind of large, since it's a rectangle and a steel case it's pretty easy to pack. The thing I...

    U4WDA Raffle

I'd bet ya someone would need a hose or two at the event (hint). ;) Also, for those who are competing, my motorhome will be in the parking lot all weekend. Said vehicle would just happen to have a welder, grinder, vise, air compressor, air tools, or pretty much anything else you need to get...

How many times should the public be expected to bail out a company? They should treat Chrysler like an old car that's giving you fits. Part it out, and take what you can get.
