    Jeep friends??

I'm glad you said something, cause I do tend to fart a lot. I'll keep my distance from her. But, you're still fair game. :)

    Yet another LONG build thread

Well, I lied. Since I didn't have much going on tonight, and the weather refuses to straighten up, I decided to pull the beast into the garage and do a little tinkering. Popped off the passenger door, and started chopping up on the body. Much to my surprize, the old gal doesn't look too...

Actually, I'm not at all fond of green. In fact, I rather hate it. The main reason it's staying green is the the 37 year old writing on the firewall from the assembly line is in excellent shape. I figured I'd save that little bit of history on it, since most of the rest of the truck, the way it...

Changed out all the belts and hoses, and converted the A/C system over to R-134A while access was nice and easy. Got the front clip assembled as far as I can for now. I can't reinstall the fenders until after I replace an A pillar, and both rocker panels. So, the way she sits now is the way...

Well, it's been a week and progress has been slow. I guess I should quit playing so much and get this thing running..... Nah... Anyways, got the engine running great! But, running it without a fan, I could hear the water pump making a little noise. So, out with the old and in with the new...

    what carberater do i run?

Like Von said, the Motorcraft 2100 series carbs are a great off road set up. The down side is you will lose power. If memory serves me correctly, the Motorcraft is only rated for 500 CFM. However, before I spent more than $10 on any carb repairs, I'd be searching the wrecking yards for TBI parts.

Oh noes! Pontiac is being axed

I really don't see a down side. I never did understand the logic behind calling three identical cars, manufactured by the same company, three different names. This aint the sixties anymore. At least back then they were a little different. R.I.P. Oldsmobile and Pontiac. Now, they just need to...

    Where to rent a Harley?

Any of the dealers in the valley. There's also Eagle Rider (eaglerider.com I believe), and a few others as well.

No...... Short and sweet enough? I know guys who have gotten away with it, but that's your intake manifold gasket as well.

Well, I've seen this happen a time or two. Figured bent push rod. Pulled it only to detetmine it's in perfect shape. Weird! Reassembled, and adjusted the clearance. All seems good, but I notice there's about 1/8" more thread sticking out of this rocker than the others. It's got to be a lifter...

    Yet another LONG build thread

Progress (or lack there of) report: Pulled the front clip off, and cleaned up the engine bay. Rust issues so far are better than I'd expected. However, I did find some rust in the drivers front door pillar. I was hoping to avoid replacing a pillar, but it looks like I have no choice...

As tempting as that is, I just verified that it is indeed a numbers matching truck, with a recent rebuild on the engine and trans. So, the 350/350 combo will stay.

More show than go. The toughest thing this will see is probably a snow covered speed bump, thats why I have a jeep right? But, I'm sure it'll see the snakes for a shake down before the paint goes on..

    Yet another LONG build thread

I've been looking for a project for several months now, and with the extra garage room I have now the wife was cool with it too. So, I decided I'd like to have another 68 Vette. Searched for a while, and found a decent one. So one day the two of us were out running errands or something, so I...
