Ok so not exactly "spotted" but I'm helping my neighbor build this lakester.
The plan is 4.8 truck LS (it's a built to run a displacement class)
Big turbo, Muncie 4 speed, 9" rear -maybe awd.
37's and low buck are not usually used in the same breath.
Chop a K5 up with chevy tons is the cheap and dirty option.
JK is the nice one.
YJs have fallen off in price enough to make it a real option but you'll want tons too.
XJ leaves in the rear flipped waggy springs up front and cut stuff up.
So I just bought that Eastwood TIG 200 from Chance and I'm going to get a bottle of argon and cut some coupons to practice. I'm alright with a MIG, and I can oxy-acetylene weld ok-ish but have ZERO experience with a TIG.
What are some resources I can use to teach myself to TIG?
