    Auto Paint

If your memory goes that far back, my Jeep and the old red truck were shot with S/W Ultra 7000. It's fer sure great stuff (I never once waxed either of em), but it's very pricey. Lately, I've been buying paint off Ebay from a guy in New Jersey. I was skeptical at first being Ebay crap and...

    Water Heater Plumbing

Ok, that's an easy one then. If it's leaking, just get rid of it. And you're right, you should have an expansion tank. Not a real big deal, but I'd add one when you replace the heater, or tie one in where the backflow preventer is now.

    Spray Paint

I've never had that problem with even the cheapest rattle can paint.... Keep in mind it's as thin (or thinner) as water. Your 3 coats may just be too light, quit bein so run paranoid, and lay the crap on! Once it's sealed, it can't rust.

    Water Heater Plumbing

If you can snap a pic it would help. I'm taking a guess that it's the pressure relief valve leaking (and improperly installed). This valve should be mounted directly in the tank to work properly, since it also opens under high temperature to protect the water heater.

The bumper looks fine, but that's gotta be one floppy spare tire. The tire carier looks a bit weak for a 35 or bigger. You need the Pimpski for this job. (that would be the good ol punks at Rocklogic) I'll do ya a good one for $2000. I'll bet that lil basstard will undercut me though..... :D

    Hey MBryson!

I was bein nice, Monkeyspank..... I know your attraction to blue, and knew you couldn't resist. Personally, if I were looking for media exposure, blue wouldn't be my first choice, I'd look for something a bit out of the ordinary... Plus, hot pink would really fit your personality. :greg...

Wow, you've got me thinking here....... Want to try an RME ride? We could do a St. George to Vegas then cruisin the sights, or whatever (plus that's down hill so Shawn wont get too tired on his Huffy) I know, shiddy time of year, but any intrest?

Questions on finding good caster, and other leaf sprung axle concerns

Wow, a pic would really help... Being the village idiot here, I'll give you my two cents. Personally, I run a 2 degree shim in the front of mine to help with caster issues. I wouldn't worry about a shim up front, but make damn sure your centerbolt head is plenty long enough to align with the...

    ideas for a 84 cj7

If I'm not mistaken, I'm prety sure it was me that said that. :D And, just to make it perfectly clear, I'll say it again. Sprung under CJ's don't flex. The springs are just too short, and the more you lift them the less they flex. But, I think flex is also way overated too. For a...

    ideas for a 84 cj7

Half of that was probably frame flex....... :greg The CJ wont flex the best, even with the best of springs, but with lockers it'll be an awsome trail rig. Might want to consider a 1" body lift, and keep the shackles up front to keep the trimming to a minimum.

    Gear swappin

Ok, so we all agree the 30 is a POS....... But drum brake (narrow track)? You're talking OLD now. Are you running a late model 30 (Widetrack, with the bigger U-Joint)? An 80's wide track with the dinky U joint? Some are better then others, so I cant really tell you how to go from here...
