    Tesla Truck (Cybertruck)

Rivian is pretty cool, I also like Bollinger's B1 classic truck kind of approach. https://bollingermotors.com/bollinger-b1/

    Tesla Truck (Cybertruck)

I've been checking this out this morning haha. Kinda cool-ish ideas and numbers, but wow does that thing look stupid. Here's a good summary video of the unveiling: And another article I found funny, there are a lot of internet comedians out there...

Trip Report August RME Trail Run - Hanging Tree Trail

I think they're the SX right? Not SXII? I didn't think they made the SXII in a 43.

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Picked up a new bench vise off of Amazon, originally I was just going to mount it on a pedestal but then I figured I'd build a small welding table off the back end. Snagged a trash brake drum from a local semi repair shop for scrap value, some time with a wire wheel and it cleaned up nice...

@I Lean, yeah thingiverse. Here's the link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1059751 I tried to just attach the STL file but it's not letting me. When I opened the file in the slicing software it was in mm, if you have the same issue you'll just have to scale it by 25.4. I used PLA. It...

    Gawynz Buggy Thread

I've gotten a few things crossed off the list the last week or so... My brakes have always been very soft and require a long pedal stroke, after some research (especially the brake bible) I believe my issue was a poor pedal ratio for a vacuum boosted brake setup. My pedal was at about a 7:1...

    Rockbinder- Drama Scout

I've never used it but I've wondered how this would work, for $10 and some heat shrink it might be worth a try: https://www.amazon.com/100ft-Expandable-Braided-Sleeving-braided/dp/B074GM1PK1/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=wiring%2Bsheath&qid=1573142251&sr=8-4&th=1 If you look at the customer images...

Thanks @Herzog, maybe a winter Sand Hollow trip, we'll see. 3D printers are awesome, it's nice having access to one at work, but if I didn't it would be tempting to buy. If anyone is in the market, all I can say is the Lulzbot is a work horse... we run that thing all the time and it's never...

Little bit of a tangent post/down in the weeds, but something I think's pretty cool and has worked pretty well so far, 3D printed coilover reservoir mounts  So originally my buggy had a couple home made delrin/acetal plastic pieces machined to fit between the cage and the reservoir with a...

Lots of routing, mounting, tweaking, remounting... My new alternator mount that locates it in place of the A/C compressor barely clears the coilover at articulation, pretty excited about this as I was running out of room for other options. I should have a little more clearance with lighter...

    Best off road 40" tires

I' agree with @Pile of parts assessment of the TSL SX/SXII. I originally ran 40" Pro Comp Xtreme M/T 2 Radials on my buggy. They seemed to hook up well but on only the third trip out I tore a hole in the sidewall. I had a spare so I sold them to my brother whose running them on his...

    Gawynz Buggy Thread

Lots of sparkle wrench practice this past weekend. Started by mocking up the upper coilover mounts. Took my time notching the chassis to get a good fit, had to be careful not to go too deep as I'd eventually hit the intake manifold with the crossover bar; in the end I have ~0.5" gap between...

    Fall Colors, they're happening!

Copied this exact route yesterday, thanks for posting! My girlfriend and I ran it clockwise stopping to get dinner at Taggart's Grill. Awesome colors and great food!

Was able to pick up some Fox bumps and cans at a good price on KSL. Plan on using these in the rear. Also picked up my two piece drive shaft from Tom Woods and got it tacked into place.

    regarding the mosquitoes in Moab

Asked a buddy who stayed down there last week riding The Whole Enchilada and doing some climbing, he said they didn't have any issues with mosquitoes. They did camp in the La Sal's though where it was pretty chilly.

Awesome, thanks for the advice @RockChucker, @Greg, and @bryson, I appreciate it. I pulled the alternator and hydraulic steering pump off last night and played around with where they might fit. I hope I'll be able to tuck the hydraulic steering pump in and mount the alternator high driver...
