Ive got a question for ya Scott.

On the Modified class there is the street legal and also non-street legal. Does the street legal just score more points on the engineering event?

Im trying to decide if I want to re-register the Scout before the event. It just expired in april. Even though I can get it registered......I will still be bringing it down with my beadlocks, fender flares off, and no mudflaps. Will I still be points ahead by having a current registration? Thanks Scott!

I cant wait!

In short yes, register it. Not only will you get points for doing so but you can run in the modified class, if you chose. With your 39"(38" or larger) meats and no reg and insurance = open class, with reg, insurance and 36" or larger tires = modified.
The whole point of the engineering event is to reward teams for the stuff that the driving events don,t test. For example a team may pick up extra points with; an enclosed cab, 4 point or better cage, passenger seating, and so on.
By the way your registration showed up today . Glad to have ya back :greg:.

Sounds good! I do want to run modified again this year. If I had more horse power I would run in the open. Hopefully next year I will have a big block in it

Thanks Scott

As if you can't hold your own in the open class :p. I can't wait to see what kind of show you give us this year. If it is any thing like 06, the crowed will be on their feet. Man I am getting siked!

I don't think I'm going to make it after all... I still have quite a bit left to do before then; right now I'm in San Fran waiting for my flight to Hawaii and I won't be back until late next week. With taking care of my son during the day, during the week, I won't have much time left to finish this up....

Hawaii vrs King Challenge :-\. I think you made the wrong choice, there fore I hope you pass out on some beach, get sun burned, and hit in the head with a coconut . All kidding aside, I was really hopping to see the new mods in person. Either way we will miss ya this year, so have fun on the island and please, don't try on any grass skirts:eek:.

We never get many preregistrations, about 80% come the day of the show. If that holds true we are going fill all tree classes, as we have about 30 preregistrations now, and they are still rolling in. That is about 20 more then in 06 when we wound up with well over 40 teams.

One more question.......Is the mini baja going to be the first event like it was last year??

Just a couple more days!!!!!!

I don't think it was first for everyone. I think someone had a first run on every obstacle, so that they could keep everything going at once all day. ...I think :D

I really really really wish I was going :( :( :( :( I'd like to see the sled!! Make sure to get lots of pictures, people!!!!

The Pull Sled

Just wanted to say I saw the sled today and it is a work of art. The guys did a wonderful job in a short amount of time. Hope to see everyone at the competition.

It was first for everyone last year. Everyone ran the mini baja then split up into different classes and went to different events. Just wondering if it will be that same format again this year.

Its to bad your not going to make it Wayne but........that just means the rest of us will have a chance :greg:

:D You're really too kind ;) Good thing they got that sled going and I wasn't going to be there for the tug of war.... Don't know what it was about that tug o war, but nobody could touch me. A buggy with much bigger meats even tried, and almost had me, but blew his D60 hubs.
I really wish I was going... It's definately a lot of fun!! NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just wanted to put in my 2 cents... Yes the sled is built, and with a little more added weight should prove to be a more even and fair pull for the competitors. we did some test pulls on Wednesday and after we worked out the gearing i think it will be great for the competition. With any luck the spectators will like the change as well.

As for the reason for running the mini baha as the first event: this is done for a couple reasons, primarily because it is hard for the crowd to see from the main stands, so we have the crowd watching the one event, then they can move back over to the main stands for a better view of the rest of the event.
It also gives time for more spectators to show up, and gives judges/officials/ect a hint of more time to get any loose ends organized (at least it worked that way for me last year) before splitting up the classes and having 3 events running at the same time.

cant wait to see everyone there!
