Front speed bumps and big brakes installed.

It was stupid easy thanks to the great instructions and videos provided by Teraflex.

On to the rear speed bumps tomorrow which will be more in depth since Joe at Teraflex customized my winnings to include their pre-runner rear speed bumps which are the same as the front only you have to cut the frame and french the mount tube in the frame to get them in the right place.

It's amazing how out of thousands of entries for that giveaway that someone local ended up winning. You will love those rear SpeedBumps when you get them installed. Hopefully we will see you at WOTR this year. Joe

Ball joints are ordered and the axle shaft is in the garage.

Also I'm replacing the passenger side u-joint for two reasons. First it was easier to destroy the one that was in there to make it driveable then it was going to be to remove it and salvage it and two I had a u-joint sitting around so I figured why not since every u-joint failure I've seen or heard of in a JK was catastrophic and it didn't matter if you had a spare joint around anyway.

Should have this thing all buttoned up in time for WOTR and my wife is actually strongly encouraging me to get it done so I can go. With a kid on the way we both know my wheeling for a while anyway will be limited and this will be my last weekend away trip for quite while so I'm really looking forward to it.

Once I have all my parts in I will tear it apart and fix er up and be done with it in a day.

Nice. I really wish you'd make it to EJS but I understand the whole baby thing is kinda important

The baby could just be like little Nash, when is she due Brian? I need to get my blazer working again so I can take my two older boys out so they will be comfortable when I head down to Moab, wife hasn't been much of a fan of letting them go with me any time so far

I live pretty close to you and depending on when you get to working on it I may be able to come help.

I'd love to get my dirty Toyota hands on your jeep!!

Due to scheduling we are having a baby on the 19th of February. Gotta love scheduled C-sections.

I'll be sure to let you know what when I plan on working on it Dutchman, I'm sure it will be next weekend. This weekend is my 6 year olds birthday so the Jeep can wait.

Did you get the rear bumps installed?

Yeah, just don't have pics right now since I ran over my phone immediately after I got done. I just need to pull my memory card out of it and pull the pics off of it. I can honestly say I wish I had had the money to install them a long time ago, they make a huge difference flying over bumps that should slam my bump stops but now it's so smooth.

Tore into it this past weekend, axle seals done, shafts done, just waiting on ball joints which should be here before the end of the week in time for me to get them done next weekend. Once I get my ball joints in I will make my commitment and pay for WOTR.

I've gotten good at tearing this thing down to a bare housing.

Ball joints next weekend then WOTR.

I think I'm going to start saving for a D60 build. There is no chance in hell I can afford to buy a bolt in CRD 60, it's too much money when I know I can source the parts and find friends to setup gears and weld knuckles to tubes for so much cheaper.

Not a short term plan, I know I need to get some money to buy the axle first but I think I need to lay off the wheeling for a while until I can come up with a plan and some money.

I wheel hard and I know I'm going to wheel harder, the only solution is tons.

I agree with this plan. You can build one cheaper than buying a bolt-in for sure. Plus that way you can do it over time instead of a huge expense all at once. I've wheeled with a lot of people and you are definitely a "tons guy" :)
