I should start making Caddy Ebrake springs and levers-- the calipers themselves are like $60-80/pr.

Ya you should! I went to Autozone 2 weeks ago to see if they had the caddy calipers in stock. They didn't... They said it's special order. Then they said they could only order the "Right" side caliper but not the "Left" lol! I assume they have not been getting many cores to rebuild the "Lefts" lol! Another good reason to go with the TSM. The driveline system would be sweet! But I think it's way to expensive and might get in way of rocks or something...

Oddly enough I have a pair of rights or a pair of lefts (long story) Caddy calipers. If your interested in them I'll take $20 for them. Both were new 4-5 years ago and have been sitting in dry storage since.

From the Utah code: "...which complies with performance standards issued by the department in accordance with federal standards."

I haven't read the federal standards, but I'd bet that's where they get you. I don't know that they'd require a mechanical parking brake setup per se, but I'd bet they require it to be a separate system from the service brakes.

FWIW, I have no idea if I used the phrase "per se" correctly.:p

Ugg... Searching the USC is worse then a needle in a hay stack lol!!! My research continues...

Well if u brought it into my work odds are it would pass. I know we've passed at least one before

I'm sure I could get it to pass with a line lock at less anal inspection places. But I want to do my best keeping it 100% legal because cops love to pull me over for some reason and hit me with retarded fit it tickets! Lol!

hurry and go wheel it! and then tell me how the military tires work.. looking at buying some for my girlfriend

Tell you the truth... These military tires are super super hard rubber they are designed for extreme hot iraq deserts. They are rated for 60,000-80,000 miles (According to others) they have no sidewall protection and suck in the winter.
The reason why i got them is because i only wanted them for daily driving from their high mile rating and for very very light off road. I plan on getting them sipped at Les Schwab soon.

I want a set of other tires for just the med+ trails with a soft rubber compound. But until i can afford the $3000 for the tires i want, im going to roll with these military take offs.
If you didnt know, you could get these take offs very cheap at under $100 a piece at www.trailworthyfab.com
They also sell a few other goodies too. But problem with ordering threw trailworthyfab is that THEY pick what used tires to send ya. Sometimes they might send ya a tire that's less thread then the others.
Boyce Equipment in Ogden Utah sells them at a higher price, when they have them in stock. But there YOU get to pick the ones you want. So you might want to consider that and for sure consider the hard rubber compound aspect of the military take offs.

Lol! My blazer has been in the shop for 1 year 3 months... Im very excited to get it finished and go wheeling. In fact im pulling it out of the shop next month and take it to another shop for other upgrades.

When i first bought the blazer, i noticed that the automatic 3 speed th400 transmission did not shift in gear quickly and sometimes not at all... With having the same experience in my Trucks th400 and fixing it, i ordered this Transmission Vacuum Modulator from Lmc Truck.

While i was at it... Also got black headlight trim. I cant wait to go home and install all these goodies:)
