i also bought some coil-overs off Pirate4x4 the other day. They are extreamely used! and need a full rebuid. they are billsteine 9100 2'' by 14'' remote resi. Came with coils and dual rate hardware. couldnt pass them up for 300 shipped :D When they arrive i will be doing a detailed rebuid process on how to revalve and replace parts...well maybe ;) if i am not to rushed for time.

Well work has been busy and I have neglected the buggy. I have only done a few things in the past week. Like finish cutting the floor out, and making the fire wall. But I really need to get my shocks in soon so I can start doing some real progress on this think. It is killing me.

Nice shop... so uhhh.... do you work Saturdays? If I happened to be in town in a couple weeks, and my jeep followed me down there, how long would it take to wire up all that neat stuff I ordered from you?

I mounted my rear air shocks. these are racerunner 2.0 14" and they will be rebuilt when the chassis get tore down for paint. I have it set up right now with 4" of shaft showing at ride hight. this will put my roof at 63 1/2 " with 37's at 35psi. its pretty low !
I wanted to mount the shocks on the inside, but it wasn't waving it. so i had to make some mini hoops. I used some full circle tabs as the shock mount, which I plan to box in a bit.

This is a really good looking build, buti have to ask because there is several buggy builds on here right now, How the crsp does everyone pay for these i mean i can barly afford new shocks let alone coil overs and 37's, dont get me wrong i love them and im very jealous of everyones buggies

Rock crawling is definitely not a cheap sport (especially once you get a tow rig and trailer).

That being said, Nick's build is pretty low cost. I'm sure it cost more than a stock sami, but all he's bought is the 4runner, tubing, tires (used), shocks (used), wheels (probably used), and dual case adapter.

So, even though it costs more than a stock sami, I'll bet it still turns out cheaper than a built full-bodied sami.

Well i dont know about that steve i could get a sami for 600 bucks and slap toyota axles under it for 300 to 400 and spring over with tires and wheels and make a decent wheeler, all for about 2000 grand which easliy couls be the cost of your coilovers alone, but you are right about nick doing his build for cheap, i guess you just have to find the deals and spend the time to fix used parts up, Good job nick your cheap build keeps my dream of a buggie alive
