I’ve used various cad applications over the years, but never could stomach the price to own it myself.

How much is the design software for doing this?

How expensive are the designs you’re buying?

As Spork said, Tinkercad is free as well as fusion 360 for non commercial use. You can also draw 3D models in Google sketchup. There are several others that I have no experience with. You can take pretty much any 3d drawing and convert in a slicer. I'm using Cura to slice SLT files into Gcode that the printer reads. Cura is free.
None of the prints I've downloaded have had a price. Thingiverse and Printables are all free. Cult has a bunch of models you can buy but I haven't paid for any yet.

@1969honda don't @ me bro. I'm triggered just by seeing these gun accessories. I would never use my printer to make these types of things. It just doesn't seem responsible...

Sometimes I can’t tell if you are trying to top Elon musk for top internet troll, or if you in fact are angry.

Either way, I laugh.
