Did you drill and tap your winch mount plate to put the fairlead there? That's the same place I need to mount mine and the only way I could think to do it.

Looks to me like the under-fairlead is offset to the side just a bit, so the bolts won't interfere with the mounts on the winch.

For that matter, you could run a fairlead intended for a short-drum winch for the suckdown, that'd get the bolts inside the feet of the winch.

That would work, but the hole is already cut to a full size fairlead. Wonder what Mike would charge to make a wider bolt pattern on a fairlead???

How about just countersinking the hole in the top of the plate and using flathead bolts? That should get them well out of the way of the winch, you'd just have to bolt the fairlead on before the winch....

I welded some two inch strips of quarter to the front and back to make it a little more rigid. Then there was a section where i needed to dish it out so i cut out a hole and welded a peice on the bottom to dish it out a quarter inch.

Everything is done besides the front drive line which is being made. And as far of the paint goes Bryson is going to be a leaf green for the body and the frame and roll cage and axels and suspension is going to be all satin black. And the inside of the tub is going to get rhino lined. But.. as of right now, i thought i would give it some color before the Moab trip. Check it out.

Sweet, good luck with the buggy build. Usually I have to wait at least a year to build something else. You are brave. But then again, you're a real fabricator and I just play one in my garage.
