Yippie, It passed safety and IM:D no thanks to 2 bad "new" water pumps:ugh:

The wifeys going to go to the DMV monday and get it licensed. Interior is pretty much done now and new shocks all the way around. Still have some little things to do and it needs a good bath inside and out but it will be on the road next week:greg:

Water pump crisis solved thanks to Gus Paulos:D no thanks to Cardone:-\

It's got tags and insurance and is on the road:greg:

few interior pieces to finish up and a soft top is on its way so the top can come off until fall:cool:

Got a bit of bump steer so I'm going to re do all the bushings and tie rods and such.

Still think I can get a bit more HP by rejetting to our elevation but it's running very well. I'm going to drive it to work tommorow so hopefully I have no more issues but so far it seems to be doing ok...I really got on it on Bangerter and everything seemed good!

Now that I've been driving it for 6 months and spent nearly a week in Moab wheeling it for Blazer Bash I've realized it's time for some upgrades:D

Lock rights front and rear...no comments it's all the wife will allow with my budget:rofl:

ORD shackle flip and 56" rear springs if I can ever find any:-\

And TBI upgrade...WTF am I thinking:rofl:

Time for an update:D

Along with the new rear suspension I might as well replace the 12 bolt with a 14 right??;) Complete with a DIY4x cover and Disc brakes, just waiting on my machine shop to get the studs pressed into the hubs and new bearings pressed in:cool:

looks like I need to clean my garage a bit too:ugh:

Along with the 14 bolt will be a Dana 44 in the front with matching 4.10's and a lockright. Gonna get the flat tops machined so I don't have to pull it apart again when I'm ready for cross over!

Sh!tty part is I need to either find 15" 8 lug rims to fit my current 35's or buy new tires to mount on the steel 16's that came wth the axles:-\

Nice upgrades. Sorry if you mentioned this and I missed it but did you fabricate your own disc brake conversion hardware? Was it difficult to do?

I wish my hoe had a beastly axles. :-\

15" 8 lug wheels are not too hard to find. Getting them to fit may be the hardest part of your build. The front axle calipers will need to be ground down some, or you will need to get either wheel spacers or a wheel with some back spacing on it. At least that is what I had to do. On the rear axle I don't know what it may take. I have seen 15" wheels fit on a stock 14 bolt without any mods. Killer build and I hope you keep us updated.

I'ld check out KSL. While I was searching for 15" 5 on 5.5's it seamed that every 3rd add was for 8 lug wheels in 16,17, & even 18" sizes:eek:!

Don't know how comfortable I'ld be with grinding down the callipers:-\...They're cast pieces & already brittle. Grinding creats hot spots which can lead to fatigue & cracking:ugh:.

Besides, after you fit, remove, grind,...fit, remove, grind,... about 20 times, you'll wish you bought tires & wheels:rofl::rofl::rofl:!!

ALF, I might be able to get you some 15" 8 lugs, my chevy had them on when I got it, but let one of my club members take em. But he's not using them. I'll make some calls.
