Nice! So about how far out are you from finishing? Might have to stop by this weekend and take a look.

I wanted to be finished by Juneish, but I don't know if that's going to happen. I will be working on it on Saturday, and Sunday. Stop by any time. I think a few other people are going to stop by Sunday afternoon too. :)

I cut just enough fender out to bolt tires up to it, so I can roll it around. The coilover mounts will not be done until the cage is done, so for now I built some little spacers to go between the axle and the "frame" so it can hold it's own weight while I work on the front. It is nice to finally get some idea of what it's going to look like.

how high is it going to be? i hope you are keeping it as low as possible casue low is the way to go.

lol

Whaa??? ;)

I haven't really settled on a height yet. Where it sits right now would be about 21 inches to the bottom of the "frame", if the front were sitting at the same height. That seems about right to me, but I'll wait until the front is done to decide. It will be on coilovers, so the height can be adjusted fairly easily. It looks lower in person than it does in pics. The camera adds two inches, or something.

He's the master of low-ness.

It looks taller in the pictures I think because of the tires sitting under the rear fender trimming. The detail on this build is impressive, especially for an xj. :D

It really does look taller in the pictures. After looking at the pictures for a long time trying to figure out how to cut the rear fenders, I walked out to the garage for a minute. I was surprised at how low it is in person.
