I say the kid is a peice of **** and wouldn't obey their commands... I would have shocked him a 4th time...

He had plenty of strength to fight them... I'm sure he could have sucked it up and got up to his feet instead of cried like a baby...

Any yes... I have been stunned...

I love all the comments. Like they have any clue what actually happened before or during the incident. I think the cops should smack a couple of the commenters too just for general stupidity. I especially like the guy who keeps saying that when you get tazered you crap and pee your pants and can't get up for hours cause your muscles contract and won't undo. Obviously he's never been hit. Your muscles work immediately after the electricity stops...you might tingle a little and be sore but that's it...idiot.

Excessive force?

The taser this kid like 3 times and then expect him to stand up and walk out on his own

I can't help it, "There you go again."
All you cop hatin pos's (lenny) had ought to live a couple of days in there shoes. These folks are there to protect us, and all some people think about is bad cops thev'e seen in movies and everything the ACLU says.
99% of LEO's live to serve the public. It's obviosly(sp) not for the pay.
SOOO, lenny this aint a pesonal jab, i just dont know why some people always blame the good guys first.:mad2:
Excessive?

Get real

Thing is, the video didn't begin until the cops were already there. You don't know what the 'student' did or said until about the time he was hit. Whether you like it or not, it is easy enough not to be a dickhead and comply with their orders. As already stated, if it is unjustified, you can always file a complaint later.

How is this not a personal attack? You flat out call me a piece of ****.

I did not say I agreed with the students actions or how he handles himself in the video.

This is a big fat REPOST.

If I remember right, the backstory is that the guy was asked to show his ID, apparently it's policy after certain hours? Anyway he didn't, claimed racism, and refused to comply with security. Rather than fight his dumb ass, they tased him. And he screamed and yelled and played it up for the crowd and their cell phone cams.

maybe so, but you stated very clearly that you disagreed with the 'excessive force' shown by the officers.

you more or less put yourself out there to be criticised due to your quick judgements about the LEO's and the way they handled the situation, even though you weren't there and you only saw the affect of whatever HE(the student) caused.... cause and affect... i'm sure they decided he probably wasn't a big enough threat to shoot him with their firearms, so instead of wrestling him and putting one of themselves in danger they subdued him from a safe distance... seems like they did their jobs eh?

I wrote "Excessive Force?" with a question mark

The only thing that I stated was that the LEO's tasered him three times and then expect him to stand up and walk out on his own

I think he could have stood up almost any time and made it easier on himself. I'm glad I'm not a LOE, especially at UCLA. I say taz him again.

Those cops were very patient. I would have been tasering all the wanna-be ACLU-lawyer bystanders who were complaining. The kid deserved it. Thanks for making me watch this Kurt! Damn, it's funny!

The reason they expected him to stand and walk was because there was no reason for him not to beyond his childish hystrionics and play acting for the lawsuit I'm sure he had planned before the incident. Being exposed to the Tazer three times or 7 does not effect the fact that you recover instantly after each exposure. In thousands of deployments nationwide the Tazer has never been the direct cause of any serious injury or death. Just another parasite looking to win the municipal (or University in this case) lottery...
