I never took it as rude

I don't think chains would be required after all receiver hitches are only attached with 4 bolts. Mine has 12 and is still connected through 3 receiver tubes that are fully welded to the truck

As far as capping the ends Are you talking about the main tube that has the lights in it? If so no

Yes that main lower tube with the lights. If you were to turn real sharp and just catch something, or someone in a parking lot doesn't see the extension and they hit it, it would do less damage to you and them if it was capped. Bumpers might slide off instead of catching and tearing. Just a thought.
Either way it looks good.

Well I got it loaded today and I am not sure how it is going to drive I might need some air bags. It squats the rear 3" but from what I can tell it lifts the front less the .25" So I need to get it strapped down and take it for a spin.

I had my Wife video me loading so I could get an Idea of any flex and to me it looks pretty solid. I was fairly aggressive loading to make sure it was strong.

Love it, nice job. Can't wait to hear the numbers on the weigh in. You've got me rethinking my tow rig situation.

Yup, that's pretty awesome. Way to have vision!

I wonder if I could put a flatbed on the excursion...

If you go bags, which you probably should, I love the ride-rites and reservoir I put on my X.

How is it for a daily driver?

It actually drives great. much smoother then my dads F-250 I am sure I will only drive it like once a month though.

I still need a couple things to add. It needs new front shocks, I need to weld on the D ring still and I need to find a new seat belt for it. The passenger side belt had some slices almost like it has been cut but I don't know what happened to it.

Very nice, I had seen those tow truck with the tilting bed and a crew cab as well, but alittle on the log side and being a DD would be out of the question or even for an emergency trip to the grocery store.
Your setup fits very well.
