Hummer brand dead March 31

Wow! I've run most of the trails in Moab and I have never come across anybody with a stop watch to see how fast people run obstacles. Is that what the toyota guys do?

No, I never said it was a race, all I am saying is that if that rig didn't weigh so much, he wouldn't have had to spin out his 38" tires to make it up that 2 ft ledge and it would have been a lot easier for him=less stress on the drivetrain. . . do you agree?

Not that it matters....... but there used to be some drop brackets back there that kept the factory alignment on the control arms. They got hung up on everything.

After that trip those brackets came off..... and I had some new lower control arms fabbed up by Tyler @ Rollover Motorsport here local.

Better set-up. New gears and front locker have yet to be tested hard. Pritchett in April?

I've always thought that Rugged has been pretty decent on the forums, especially since everytime he says something everyone starts talking trash because of his vehicle of choice. He has taken it much better than I would have.

I've always thought he was just fine, and I don't think he gets any more flack than anyone else. Hell, there are people that take way more abuse, some people just aren't as touchy about it ;)

Hey rugged I am not dissing your choice of vehicle. I clearly stated i would wheel with you anyday. i dont give a rats bung hole what you drive i just want to have fun. I like what you have done to your Hummer it looks good. All i was saying was that whenever i come across somebody out there on the trail (jeep, toy, hummer, Nissan) that has a bad attitude and thinks they are all mighty i would not want to run with them. I have had that problem in the past and eh just walk away. Drama Over Good night :)

Holy cow, those control arms look tiny, or maybe it's just everything around them is huge? What diameter are they? Not bashing, just asking a question.

Wouldn't it be nice if we all popped out of a cookie cutter

Who cares what you run, what should matter is how you run it... if your 4x4 endeavors for the year surmount to a Moab trip and run or twelve on Rattlesnake, I think your a waste, not your vehicle. ;)
OH SHITTT !!!! I'm a waste. But I'm sure glad you still love my truck Kurt.:rofl:

Well this has been interesting for me.

Believe it or not (and as corny as it sounds)....... I admire the hardcore wheelers in this place. Not just the buggies either but those that have built their daily driver rigs to tackle the really tough trails.

That's why I originally came over here. I read a lot more than I post and I may have actually learned quite a bit from those that post here.

I understand that my truck is what it is. Without the entire explanation (again)....... it is a comfortable daily driver with enough room to fit my whole family of 5 in for trips.

I don't like those ridiculous Hummers covered in chrome any more than most of you. I have tried to make mine as capable as I can given the platform that it is.

One day (after the factory warranty is gone)...... I'd like to put Rockwells under it to make it a unique trail rig.

Geez rock snobs.......lighten up. ;)

I am odd, I happen to like Hummers and despite most here, I don't care for Rockwells, but they do server their purpose. It's some of the Hummer owners that I have a real problem with. Just my $.02

I should go post up over on Pirates Hardcore section and tell them pussies that if they want to wheel hardcore trails they need an H2!

(this post was a response to another.... that isn't here anymore....... so for anyone that doesn't realize it......it's a joke)

Glad to see the tone slowly coming back to reality.

Can we end it with, for good or bad, Hummer is dead.

And for good, we have people where who wheel a wide range of vehicles, each for their own reasons. We can like and hate the rigs we want to, but when it starts turning on the driver, shut up and wheel!!

I have to admit... an h2 on rockwells?... the beef of the rockwells would def make up for the beef of the body.. :D the only problem I can forsee is.. MASSIVE amounts of body trimming (because I couldn't imagine you keeping the 38's if you had rockwells ;) )

the only problem with putting an H2 rockwells is that it would be on rockwells.

There was no trimming.... the 38's will fit into the wheel wells. There used to be a couple rear piece to the fender flare kit..... I smashed those on ledges though.

They want 1000 bucks to replace them and they'll just get broken again.....

I own a Jeep Cherokee that is my DD and has many battle scars, Toyota with all the stupid gear shifters I could fit in the cab, and a H3 that was equiped with a rear locker that has never been used (no hard core trails to the grocery store/soccer game). Whos side am I supposed to be on....sooooo confused.
