Whoever thought owning 2 awesome wheeling rigs was a good idea has clearly never built, wheeled and maintained 2 rigs. I didnt work on the buggy at all this weekend. I spent the entire weekend working on the JK doing some much needed maintenance and performance upgrades. I finally got the inter cooler installed and finished up the magnaflow exhaust along with installing the front speedbump. Between the exhaust and intercooler I noticed a pretty good increase in power. I am going to be installing the smaller supercharger pulley here real soon as well.

I hear you there. LOTS of work for EJS on both rigs. Going to have to prioritize things a wee bit.

Well Here is a quick pic to hold off the mob, The rear axle is narrowed and offset the links are all done and the coilovers mounted, In short the rear is in rolling form right now. With everything set to the driver side incluidng the diff it made stuff pretty tight on that side. I need to finish machining my upper link right now the one in there right now is actually a front lower and it was barely long enough to use for mock up. I am going to pull the rear axle finish bracing and dimple dieing brackets and the set the lockers and gears up and call it a day. In the front I still need to figure out track bar mounting and my upper link placement but as soon as thats done I can pull the drive train back out seal it up and weld the entire chassis. I am making steady progress and I couldnt be happier with the way its turning out.

Sorry to call you out and get the thread followers up in arms. I was just out there last week picking up mine and stood there admiring yours for a few minutes. Makes me want another full buggy. Compared to what I used to have the Goat is big, clunky and heavy. I miss the small, lightweight-ish, nimble cars like your will be.

Plus, with number 2 on the way I am going to eventually need a 4 seater. OR... a single seater and leave the fam at home! (the wife is not too sure about taking the whole family out)

very nice Ryan, It looks great. I can affirm that there is no one perfect rig for anyone out there. I love the light weight nimble buggies and would love to have one again, but I had to evaluate my situation and pick the closest type rig that fit my current needs. Good luck with the decisions.

What you all need to do is have 2 rigs, the JK picks up where the buggy is lacking and vice versa. I love having 2 rigs ecspecially since my wife enjoys driving her own rig all the time

I feel like we were just talking about this lol. You definitely need two rigs because Heather drives so much. She's awesome. Having two rigs is the only solution for some people. I could never have two because they'd end up being the same because I can't leave well enough alone. One day my dump ride will end up being completely buggified or I'll take some of the stuff off of it and make a buggy. When you get your buggy done and go wheeling with me that will speed up the process I'm sure. Curse you

So I have been hitting this rig pretty hard and it is sitting as a full roller currently.... But like every great build, plans have changed.

TERAFLEX has decided to step up to the plate and sponsor my build in a HUGE way. So the axles I just finished building are coming out in favor of a new set of teraflex CRD 60s I will get some updated pictures soon and of course I will post up some pictures of the TERAFLEX sexiness

I'm telling you, let Teraflex know that you know a guy with an XJ that has stock axles and would appreciate some CRD's as well.
