I'm all packed and ready to go. Man that ARB fridge is great! Everything is loaded up in it and its just chillin' on the AC power right now and I'll load it up first thing in the morning. No packing the cooler, ice, freezer packs. Nothing. Awesome.

Sawtooth,

Yes. We'll be in the Food Mart parking lot at 9am tomorrow. Look for a Pathfinder, Cherokee and 4-Runner.
I'll be on CB Channel 21.

glad to hear you got home safely. Let's get that thing fixed and get back on the trail soon!

I had a fantastic weekend. My wife and sister-in-law really enjoyed the company. What a great group of people to camp with. I had a blast.

Sorry guys.We came up a private road from S & M.What was suppose to be a mild trail, turned into an over grown.tree layed trail.I was in my Taco, that I really didn't want to hammer,so I was a little frustrated. We didn't make camp til about 7:00.I didn't know where we were,or how to find you guys.Next time

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'm planning on heading up to the uintah's with my wife to do some fishing and find some solitude. Echo lake sounds like what i had in mind. I'm curious how close you can drive to the actual lake? I'd like to get as close as possible and camp right near the truck. Any pictures of this trip or advice would be appreciated. I've seen other lakes you can get right up to the shore at but i've heard they are more crowded.

You can drive to within a few hundred yards of Echo. Solitude is unlikely though. There's always people there. Last time I was there, crazy as it sounds, I almost got hit by a golf ball. Some guys were up on the hill towards Joan lake hitting golf balls into Echo.

There will be a small crew of hooligans at Whitney Reservoir Friday and Saturday. I dunno about solitude, but I believe you can camp by the lake shore and this particular gang of miscreants is going to be a riot around the campfire... http://www.rme4x4.com/showthread.php?104713-invite-camping-somewhere-this-weekend

I could be wrong, but I think you're always supposed to camp 200 feet from water, especially if you have a fire. I'll bring the GoPro to capture the mischief.
