I luv Pritchett

Last that I saw Pritchet was rated at a 5. But, I also thought that I saw Hells Revenge rated at a 4. I did not think that Hells Revenge was all that hard.

Don't believe the ratings. On a scale of 1-5, if Hells is a 4, than Pritchett is off the charts. Not even in the same league!

A popular trail to run is Rusty Nail into Golden Spike/Gold bar rim.... basically you go in the back way to Golden spike or like if you are starting Metal Masher... Rusty nail is to the west of Golden Spike and comes out by the Crack... so it is a good trail for hardcore and photo ops since it has the Crack, Double Whammy, and the like... plus Rusty Nail on top of that! So I would be game for that as well....
As for the Pickle... I know that it is up by the airport off of that main road.. there is a thread on this forum in the trail section that shows were it is! I have always wanted to do it because it is a short trail with some good waterfall type obstacles! The actual "Pickle" obstacle is a notch type obstacle in the base of a canyon... it is a tippy obstacle for narrow Jeeps, but for wide fullsizes like you and me LT... we could probably run a tire up the wall and make it look really impressive!!!! Anyone else have input that has run the trail before?? I know there are obstacles like "Wishbone" and a staircase type obstacle. But good times to be had and very scenic I am told!;)

On the topic of Trail selection... I think that we should start out our weekend of wheelin with Hell's Revenge... it is always a good warm-up and has great wheeling combined with great views!! Not too long, not too short and plenty of optional playgrounds if you so choose!! Sound good to anyone else? I would like to see the T-REX in the Escalator anyway!!!!:freak: There is just something about a 20' long truck with 6 tires going up those steps that makes me drool!!! What do you all think???

When is everyone heading down?

I think my wife is going to have to work a half day on the first but I might just pick her up in SLC on my way down. That would make the 2nd my first wheeling day

I will be leaving around noon on Wednesday, October 1st to get into Moab and get camp set up before dinner. Then my wife will coming down on Friday the 3rd in the morning.... so I would be greatful if that day, (friday the 3rd) we start the trail a little late that day... or if anyone is interested in Metal Masher I could have her meet us at the trail head... How about Metal Masher on Friday??

I have my reservations at Pack Creek Campground.. anyone else???

Reservations are set at the Pack Creek campground as well. My last day at work will be September 28th. But, the wife will be working some more days then I will. Not too sure when I will be pulling in to camp. Depends on when she gets off from work. But, I am for wheeling Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and maybe even Monday. As far as what I will be in, well, I will be driving the ultimate tow rig, Dodge, and a fully enclosed race trailer. There are pictures of them under LT. wild ramcharger. When it comes to what trails I want to run, I guess that I really don't care. As long as everybody is ready and willing to have a good time that is all that is really important to me.

Well.. we are now less than a month away!!! Anyone besides me getting excited???

I will be leaving here, (Grand Junction, CO) around Noon on Wednesday the first if anyone wants to convoy with me... Then I will be staying at the Pack Creek Campground with the Pruietts (T-REX 6x6) and Cheston (Scout) and LT Knoell (Beater Ramcharger).
So far it looks like our plan is to run Hell's Revenge on Thursday as a warm up trail to dial in the trucks and see the T-Rex play on the Escalator. Always good scenery and a nice relaxing trial day to get back to camp early and maybe hit the Brewery
goodjob.gif
and some ice cream later!! In case you didn't know... Hogi-Yogi has a great selection of ice cream and slushies that are great after a day on the trail!! Kind of a Prueitt/Klouzek/Knoell tradition!

So whoever is interested is more than welcome to join us for the run on Hell's Revenge and the Brewery, and ice cream, or any part if you so choose!!!

Do we know if there has been any more plans made for a BBQ, raffle, etc??? Thanks!
Matt

Yeah, I am getting excited. I went and picked up the race trailer and cleaned it up. That is ready to go. It is still hooked up to the dually and the dually has a full tank of fuel in it so it is ready to go. Now, I just need to finish up a few little things on the beater and it will be as ready as I can make it. So, you will be there on the evening of the 1st, eh? I should be there on the 1st as well. We will either be leaving at 2000 hours on the 30th of Setember or about 0500 hours on the 1st. Most likely the latter.

I gotta' tell y'all that I am chomping at the bit to get this adventure under way. I just am having a hard time just waiting for this trip. I am glad to hear that Corey got his rig together. So.... from what I hear Cheston is still working on his rig, I thought that he did not have much to do. What is the hold up? Worse case senerio just put it on the trailer and we will work on it in camp. Just like TTC 08. Trackin'? Corey, who are you bringing with you? Are you gonna bring that little cute daughter of yours? How about anyone else from the shop?

Right now the Scout is running. I put the oil pump and pickup in from TTC since I cant find the right rear sump pickup tube. I have now ordered 5 different ones and they have all been variations of the mid sump pickup for the ford van. Might just have to find a van oil pan!

The motor has a HORRIBLE lifter noise. We tried adjusting the rockers but to no avail. I must have a bad lifter. The mechanical fan seems to be doing the cooling job so that will be nice.

The crappy part is I have to work my butt off for the next 2 weeks straight just to pay for this trip. Next monday Im going to Idaho to work for a week so the Scout will just be sitting on the trailer until the week before we leave. Im going to try to get my brother to work on it a bit while Im gone but thats a maybe.

Basically all I can do is pop the intake, put in my new lifters, and see if that fixes it. It should. There was so much I wanted to do before Moab thats not going to happen. Maybe for Easter.

I cant wait for this trip either! Its shaping up to be one of the best trips yet
