He does have a lot of pics in there where they aren't even on a trail. If you have to go off trail to find somewhere to flex your rig, perhaps you should pick harder trails.

:mad2: :mad2: :mad2:

No mall curbs around so he has to park on the historic Tecoma courthouse stairs

I am sure my kids won't even notice the tire tracks when the get to visit.
Not very bright to post pics on the internet of what he did. But the reality is would the local sheriff/cop do anything about it? I certainly don't agree with what he did.:mad2: Defacing historical property? Maybe he needs a invite e-mail to here......

I'd love to see that thing perform ON the trail, not off to the side of it.

Well, since he didn't bother to blur his plate, and posted the pics in a public place... how about mailing him a ticket.

Well I have to admit. I found that site over a year ago, and have been upset about it every since. Just chapped me to see that. Back then I sent an email and never heard back. I was hoping that some group discussion about it may help drive the point home that driving like that only hurts our cause, posting photos like that is just a noose around our neck.

I keep hoping to hear him chime in, he has been on RME since this thread was started. I really don't want to offend or hurt feelings, but at the same time I don't want to see utah relics driven over and posted on a website like a cheap trophy.

I think that some understanding / education about the topic will go a long way, and I am sure he can be a big benifit to our community.

re: seriously??

First off, this isnt an angry response, I think Im more concerned that the everyone is so damn scared to go out and do anything that might piss off the tree hugging hippies. so without more ado...

Rusted,
I'll keep this with you as you were the main instigator. I dont see what your issue is, you havent been to the site, obviously. And you really dont seem to know that much about what your talking about. Tecoma, at least in that site, is an old RR siding. The siding itself is nearly 85 years old, but the stairs I was on are 25 years old AT BEST!! Did you see all the rubber marks on the stairs?? hmm... thats because there wasnt any??
Did you see all the destruction that I have perpetrated?? Take a good hard look, cause there isnt any. The main damage to those stair was done by steel and RR ties that were tossed up on them, a problem that I remedied before I took the pic, but I guess I should have taken a pic to show you what I was doing.
IMHO, all the "tread lightly" crap has managed to perpetuate is the over growth on trails that once led to something and allow groups like SUWA to close them up.

If you want to sit down and have a heart to heart, Im all up for it, you have my email, website, address etc...MAIL ME A TICKET:rofl: (its posted on the website if you are having a hard time finding it... or call me direct.. email me and I will send you my number or if you would like I will call you back.

Anyone else, dont be a ***** and PM me if you have a problem, shoot me an email. (your earlier one I never recieved). Call, stop by, whatever...

If you want me off your forum, say the word...

I stand behind every pic and statement on my website, I will not apologize and if you dont like it, then dont visit.

Coreshot and mbryson... ask around you will find a lot of people that have been off road with me... I can walk the walk as well as anyone, I just think that some pics are damn fun...oh and your welcome to come along anytime too.

First off Simmer down there is no need to get into a pissing match, I have been to you web and spent hours there. I think allot of the stuff is awsome and me I love ghost towns and mines. I know allot of us get mad at this kind of stuff no matter if it is 5 or 500 years old or if you left it in better shape them when you found it, what matters is the fact that you are possing on a relic in a ghost town. I think tree huggers have a good idea they just are going about it all the wrong way, If I ever have kids I want the land there for them also. I think things like this just give them more ammo to make all the respectable 4x4 guys pay the price. I don't think you should do it and if you do then that is your doing just please don't post pictures of it on the net. In no way am I defending anyone, right or wrong that is not my decesion to make how ever I have expressed my opinion.

I dunno... I kind of look at it like parking on the elementary school grass...
Probably not hurting anything but you probably shouldn't be doing it and if some authority figure catches you I'll laugh my ass off at your expense. :hickey:

So in other words what you are saying is you have no freakin clue what tread lightly means. Right??? You are one ignorant person, before trying to act all mighty try and get some education on the matter. ;)
