You sir, are a fool. You say that you don't drive over sage brush. Am I just imagining sage under your tire?

waynehartwig said:Not true.. An ATV has a LOT less impact than your Land Rover! Especially since it's an ATV trail, every subsequent ATV is then 'treading lightly' and not making any more impact than the last guy did. You, however, are completely changing the way the area looks. Now the next guy in a truck to come through will see your tire tracks and say 'hmm road!' and go off that direction. Most likely even get stuck (nothing is as competent as your Land Rover) and make an even more impact.

e28bimmer said:Yeah, five mile is a good example of the light impact that ATVs have, as is AF canyon...and I want people to follow the trails I take, thats why I invite them along...The Trucks, Wagons whatever were there before the ATVs to make the trails..
However, if we follow your ATV train of thought... then soon we can turn the ATV trail into a bicycle trail, and then a walking trail and then we can close it all together!!
e28bimmer said:And Andy, Im not trying to be rude here, but sagebrush only takes a few years to grow rather large, especially in rainy seasons, so by your logic, any trail with sagebrush (or any type of vegitation) on it is no longer a trail.. Hmm interesting concept... I think I saw that on the SUWA site somewhere....
e28bimmer said:And as an added note...I find it extremely amusing for some of you to talk smack when your avatars show vehicles doing way more damage than my little truck has ever done... talk about calling the kettle black...
I KNEW IT!!! Time to get a rope!:greg: Man I'd love to see this tool post his crap on Pirate.mbryson said:Oh, you've outed me. I'm a flaming tree-hugger.
Dude... you have more poser pics on your site than I do... and I post my links on Pirate... strange, no one has complained...JeepinJoe said:I KNEW IT!!! Time to get a rope!:greg: Man I'd love to see this tool post his crap on Pirate.
mbryson said:Let's speak in specifics. I've tried to be pretty diplomatic about what I've posted about you and your rig while trying to direct criticism (my opinion) constructively. What/who do you have issues with?
ummm hello moron. Most of those pics are from my customers. So what's your point?e28bimmer said:Dude... you have more poser pics on your site than I do... and I post my links on Pirate... strange, no one has complained...

hopefully that clears things up for you...
e28bimmer said:um... reading through thread, not seeing anything about driving a Rover... and here comes Andy pulling stuff out of his a$$...also what does that have to do with anything... or are you just out of arguement but to ignorant to let it go?? Note: Preserving Utahs Ghost Towns and Mines... and then Im no better than vandals? okay... good logic train there. And how do you know it was rednecks?? I'd be willing to bet it was some city slicker that found the place and figured it was abandoned so he could shoot it... the rednecks are usually a bit more preservation minded...
I also just looked at them, and they apear to be in their OWN yards!JeepinJoe said:ummm hello moron. Most of those pics are from my customers. So what's your point?
e28bimmer said:I have NO ISSUE with anyone on this site, however you have Andys avatar showing a jeep almost in roll mode up a rock that is BLACK with tire tread (no enviromental impact there...) and even your avatar.. Dude, tell me thats a trail and that you left no impact...
That is all that all of us are trying to say....mbryson said:Dude, I think the ghost town thing is cool. There's lots of cool history and artifacts around out there. If I run across one of those I try to save it for the next person to check out exactly how I found it. It's the exact same principle with the trails. Leave things how you found it (or better, in the case of trash or whatever. If it's something you can't clean up, let the land manager know (say like grafitti on pictographs/petroglyphs or something))
