I could probably run friday if I knew this far in advance.

I think we should do the HTT on friday we could meet up at the maverik at 10am if that would work for you. Thanks for the offer in camping we just might take you up on that there would be at least 3 of us with trucks and trailered jeeps.

Sounds like a great time. I am planning on it for now as long as nothing gets in the way. I don't know about the camping or motel yet, but pushing towards the camping. I probably will be coming home on Saturday night, so if we could do the Crazy 8 trail on Saturday, that is what I would vote for, but this is your trip and I am just a tag along. I know what you are talking about YJ_Auzzy, I tried to make my jeep street legal last year, but the cops where on to me, I just couldn't blend in, so now it is a trailer queen. If you can find a trailer with good strong fenders, you can drive the front tires over them, I have several friends that have Big Bubba's trailers and that is what they have to do, and another friend built a cage over his fenders so he wouldn’t damage his.

I will also be diong Crazy 8 on Saturday. It will be nice to meet some new people. I hope you do not mind a little cherkee with 33s joining all of the big beast that will be on the trail that day. Look forward to it.

Still not sure where I am staying but might take you up on the backyard Rockreligious. It will be fun to wheel with you again.

Is there a new trail in the Richfield area for Sunday? I shouldn't say new, because they are all new to me, I haven't done any trails in that area. This new one your talking about, is it a longer trail. The only reason I suggested Crazy 8 on Saturday, is because I haven't done it before, but if this new one is a full day trail, and Crazy 8 is half, then maybe the new trail would be better on Saturday. I maybe able to stay for Sunday if I can talk the boss into letting me stay and play. Kmboren, I also have a wedding to attend Thursday night, but should have no problem making it to Ephraim by 10am.

We don't mind you are welcome to come with the cherokee just dont make me look to bad on HTT. You should enjoy crazy 8.

We will let the locals in richfield decide which trails will be best to run on saturday and sunday if they go with us.

My wife decided she wants to stay in a motel so we will be at the apple tree inn, it is a decent motel I stayed there last year.

i'm down for all three days, new trail didn't work out, it goes on for about a 3/4 of a mile up a canyon with some fun obstacles, 3-4 foot waterfalls, bunch of bioulder gardens with tons of lines, then theres a 12ft straight up waterfall over hang that can't be passed sense the canyon narrows down to it. and tis a pain to turn around, had to back up a good 80-100 yards to get turned around. but yeah i'll get all the guys from around the valley to go plus we also could do the NS trail above Salina if ya want.

I make no promises.;):rofl::rofl:

All I can say is that a lot of people saw my rig and had there doubts, By the end of the day those doubts where put to rest. At least that is what they told me and my wife.

well round noonish if its a good day here hits round high 80's. could be in 90's by then so either earlyu morning or in evening, Crazy 8 only takes a good 45-to an hour to run, bout 10-15 minutes to get to it from the water tower tank, below there everybody can drop off their trailers or drag them up the freshed graded road but there is one tight S turn that would be tough to turn with more than a 20' trailer. cops though here are really good with us non legel rigs i drive mine all round town and they never harrass me unless i truely deserve it. so it is possible to park and cruise to go get food or gas with out having to worry about dragging a trailer round town.

KOA always has parking available at affordable rates but i will try to find a friend who has a big enough lot for yall to park in for the night for those who want. Also like i was saying before my buddies in salina, across ythe freeway from us would probably be more than happy to take us up the NS trail sometime sunday if nothings planned then. Just let me know, i'll hit up my guys in a bit.

crazy 8 takes about an hour with a couple of well built rigs, depends on how many and how built, I remember a couple of years ago going up with about 30 rigs (U4 summer conv.) and it took most of a day with broken rigs on 8 different obs. I would probably estimate 15minutes per rig, so 5 rigs= 1;15 or 10 rigs = 3 hrs. plus possible breakdown time..

true true what about hanging tree what we looking at for timeage?

a few weeks ago we did HTT and we got 13 out of 15 rigs out of the top we started at 9am and ended around 9pm, half the group were buggies and the other half were well build rigs (a couple Top truck rigs). there were a few breakdowns and blown beads. I would estimate 1hr per rig, we usually run around 8 rigs in 8 hrs.

I have 33's and ARB's F/R will I be able to do these trail's??
I ran HTT on fathers day weekend in my cherokee with 33 and a rear spool and front lockright and did pretty good. I think you will be fine. Do you have rocker protection. If not you will get damage, to rockers and possible doors or rear quarter panels. What rear axle are you running? I have a 44 in the rear and it did great, I would be a little concered for a Dana 35. Just a heads up. It is a good trail I would rate it at a 7-8 on the 10 scale.
Fridays run is the HTT. Starting at 10am in ephraim. It is about 2-2:30 hours to ephraim from Saltlake.
Richfield add another 30-45 mins to that.
Diffently worth the trip though.
