There was a time when I had the combo to Neilsons gate and they were very gracious to let us go through their property, but due to some inconsiderate individuals who made the decision to vandalize equipment and property (Unknown if they were wheelers or not), we all lost the ability for a quick and smooth ride out.

Rockreligious - Can you tell me if there is a trail sign posted close to the first obstacle?

Someone has had a sign made up, it very well done, there has just been some controversy whether to put it up or not.. It will likely get put up.

Rockreligious - I was the one who had the sign made. It was part of an agreement I made with the Nielson's in an attempt to help stop any problems on their property, by notifying wheelers at the bottom of the trail to plan on coming out through the trail and not on the private property. They felt it was a good idea as long as the sign was up the trail and not advertizing the trail at the road, which is why we decided to place it at the first obstacle and not by the road. In return, I received the combo to their gate. I had the sign delivered to some of the local wheelers who agreed to post it, but it didn't get done. I ran the trail about a year later and the sign wasn't up and I ran into problems trying to get out on Neilson's property. So when I called them, they didn't believe I held up my end of the bargain, so I lost my access to their gate along with everyone else. I know it's not going to help anything now, I was just curious as to what happened to the sign.

I don't want to split hairs, but any chance we can start the trail on Friday at 11am? It's somewhat of a challenge to get my fam up and driving real early but I could easily make Ephraim from Toowilly by 11:00. I really want to do this trail on Friday!!

I am not in charge of this trail and not leading it just a follower but I have a couple of questions and statements. First do you know where the trail head is? if so you will catch us shortly I am sure. There are lots of obstacles so that means lots of stopping and watching and them driving some more. If you do not know then I am sure we can give you instructions to the trail head. third I ran this earlier this year with around 15 rigs and we started the trail at around 9:30 and did not get back to trailers until just before dark around 9 pm. I would not recommend starting it any later than already posted. I am sure that with meeting at 10 we will not be on the trail earlier than 1030-11 so I am sure you will be ok. Or just come the night before and camp in rockreligious back yard.

I am not going to make Crazy 8 on Saturday instead I am headed to the Swell on Saturday and Sunday.

If we are going to have many rigs on Htt, we are going to have to leave somewhat early, that said if some of the group shows up a couple hours later as long as they know how to get to the trail head they will catch up with the group in short time, but we dont want to start everyone later if that makes sense, my other concern with splitting groups is that all of the entance gates get closed if they they are supposed to be closed. any and all of you are welcome to camp in my back yard the night before if that helps.

hardline, WydeJ, Rondo, Rockreligious, Kmboren. Doesn't look that many rigs. Who's missing?

Thanks Rochreligious for the PM, PM'ed you back. I believe there is more than just what you are listing. I think Wydej said he had three rigs with him and there maybe more with others that are not posting. Right now it is just me as a tag along. I made reservations today at the Apple Tree Inn in Richfield for both nights.

I will agree with Rockreligoius, this is a long trail and will take most groups all day just to get to the top without any breakdowns, then it is still a long ride out on the road.

Tomtoms 90 might be there also. I have not seem him post up recently though. Is there a group going earlier than 10 or is 10 the meeting time? I work that night and will not be able to leave Lehi until around 8-8:30 so I will do what I can to make it there. If not do not wait for me I remeber where it is at and can play catch up. Look forward to this trail again. Hopefully it will be kind to me again.

10 am works for me. I will also have a hard time getting the wife and daughter moving in the morning, so if Im not there at 10, I will catch up. 9 am on Saturday at the water tower sounds good. Any word if we will be able to have someone show us that Salina trail on Sunday?
