So the skatepark tour of the west continues!
I was in Denver last weekend to visit the folks and hit up my old home park.
Greenwood Village. I absolutely love this park... it makes me look like I know what I'm doing.
Transitions are perfect, coping is low, concrete is smooth and it's really clean
This week I was up in Boise for work and brought the board.
Hit up a couple skateparks up there.
First one was the Rhodes park, it's underneath the freeway and it attracts a lot of bums (see pic) and hessian's.
Mostly street inspired stuff and a big gnarly metal halfpipe with some ripples at the bottom... not exactly my favorite but it was more fun than my cheap motel room.
So I asked some dirty little hessian kid with a rat tail where I could find some transition stuff...
and he goes, "Go to the Fort, that place is hot," so I hop on google I find it:
Fort Boise rec center: apparently it was a fort on the Oregon trail that has a nice rec center built on it's grounds now.
Pretty cool park: had a nice horseshoe, a sweet soup bowl and great flow, definitely worth the trip!
And it has lights!
Can't wait to skate there again next time!
