SAMI's Xterra "Stalker"

Jason Goates, SLC Utah

2006 Nissan Xterra S w/ leather interior

Engine- VQ40 DOHC ~ 4.0-liter DOHC V6, 265hp and 284 lb-ft torque

Transmission- 5-speed A/T

T-Case- 4wd Stock

Axles- Stock

Suspension- Top Gun Customs spacers, and AC shackles

Wheels and Tires- 235/8516 10 Ply M/T's on Toyota Tacoma OE steel spare wheels

Winch- Not yet

Lighting- 100w IPF lights up front, w/ clear covers

Favorite Trails- Anywhere in the San Rafael Swell, or central/southern Utah is where I explore.

It got the name 'Stalker' while sitting at the dealership, before we even bought it. My wife told me the color was 'Night Armor', and later on I was trying to recall the name of the color, but instead of 'Night Armor', I called it 'Night Stalker'... So 'Stalker' just stuck.

Day after we picked it up from the dealer

I finally got around to installing my Spidertrax wheel adapters, and for now i'm running the 285/75/16 Bridgestone Dueler A/T's that were on my 4runner. The final result is a slightly wider stance (each adapter is 1.25"s thick), and slight clearance gained from the taller tire.

Man, there's a lot of plastic on that thing....

Kinda reminds me of a Chevy Avalanche:eek:

Lets cut some of that plastic off, eh?

Holy crap that's a busy bumper.....

Yes, but it's brilliant.. The swingouts are removable, can lock into place when opened, telescoping light/aerial mount, Hi-lift hidden away - swings out with tire, dimple die holes/ tube cut down on weight.. I would think, from a fully plated bumper..
