I was supposed to be tractoring at @SoopaHick house today for some grading, but the rain made that not such a great idea.

Having a few hours to myself, I decided to work on Britney's box. 😎😁

I had some 14 GA left over from the Jeep Dolly build, so I cut that up and bent a pair of L shape pieces to change the fuel tanks dimensions and rust content. A TIG welder would probably make this a bit easier, but I don't have one. So MIG it is.




I ordered some bungs, caps, and fittings a while ago since I knew this was an upcoming project. It's about half way done now. I'll be sure to have that reckless lazy ass painter come buy and slather black on the tank in a few weeks.

Britney has a bung hole.




The main fuel box is all welded up. Still need to add the sump, fuel filler neck, and seal it. It looks WAAAAAAAAAAY better than the last fuel tank I built. And it had a bung hole. 😎

Sump is complete except for the bung I'm waiting for. Just gotta weld the filler neck on and seal it. That won't happen this weekend though.

Not even close. Axles still aren't under it and I still haven't bought the hydro steering hoses or mounted the new ram.

It acts as a rollover vent. The gasses can get through the vent but in the event of a roll over the check ball closes the valve keeping the fuel in the cell.
