Owners Name & City-Stan Prueitt Somewhere in Utah

Make, Model & Year of Vehicle-1997 Dodge T-Rex 6x6 6500

Engine-V10

Transmission-47RE HD

T-Case-241 HD

Axles- 3 Rockwell 2.5 Ton with Detroit lockers

Suspension-coil 4 link

Wheels and Tires- Hummer Internal Beadlock, with Interco Iroc tires, or Swampers. Interco is our sponsor so we change tires alot.

Winch- Mile Marker Hyd.

Favorite Trails-New Mexico four corners area, all of Moab, Hollister Hills CA....to many to list.

Other-The T-Rex is a rare rig that we try to keep nice looking for all of our sponsors yet, we still wheel the crap out of it. It has schooled many rock buggies on thier own turf, and has won many safaris. It also is excellent at rescueing stuck rigs. I am now a yearly judge at TTC, and I help set up and design the courses. I also use the T-Rex at TTC to extract stuck and dead rigs. Last year I took the T-Rex in three times into the Tank Trap to Extract the D100, the Mudder Bronco, and the huge 11,000 pounder Kaiser. That was a trip. The T-Rex is here with me in Utah, but my Tow Rig and Trailer are still down in New Mexico. The T-Rex is street legal but sucks the gas and only has a top speed on the highway of about 55. Since is has lockers on all three axles, the streets also tear up my tires, so when I can I trailer it to the trails I do.

I'll bring it next time. With gas at $3.50 gal, and Premium at $3.90( V10 likes good gas;))it could be expensive.

Let's see now the club meeting is 5 miles away, and the T-Rex holds 500 pounds of fuel, there is a station on the way, and so if I top it off there I should be able to make it to the meeting with at least a 1/4 tank, then somebody could follow me back so if I don't make it back to the gas station they could tow me.... and it should only cost me $ 249.50......:rofl:

Really its not that bad, Highway about 8-10mpg, off road 6-8mpg:rofl:

Hey Stan, I rarely visit the Member's Rigs section and am just seeing this post for the first time. Are you now living in Utah?
yep, We are moving to Utah. We have not found a house yet, but we just signed the papers and sold our house here in New Mexico. Man it is rough to come back here and remember how beautiful it is here. It is going to be a rough transition. To see what I mean go the intro threads and see pictures of our place here in NM. Oh well, soon we will be Utah residents.

This is the Hill the competitors came down during the Obstacle Course. So I decided to go up it:eek: tried to crawl it slow, that was not as successful as I thought, soooo..... hammer down:D

You can get a feel for its steepness by looking at the dangleing green cord hanging from my rear view mirror on the picture of me coming down it.....about 47 degrees incline... way Fun!!!!

Just curious, did they ever approach you prior to releasing the game?

Have the royalty checks been coming? :D

Dodge owns the rights, and they sponsored me in the build up. They were going to build the T-Rex 6x6 as the ultimate tow rig. It was slated for production in 2002, but the Germans canceled the production run in 2000. So when I started to build my own they sponsored me. So the Dodge Corporation owns the rights. Bummer, but thats OK they helped pay for the build and that was worth it to me.

They built 6 Corp. versions that toured the country. I almost got to buy one of the gold corp. versions, but they wanted alittle to much. I did have a T-Rex tow rig. Attached is a picture.

Hey bro, didn't you use the stock rear axle out of that truck? If so then I don't think that it was a Dana 60. I think that it was at least a 70 but if I was a betting man I would have put money on it being a Dana 80. If my memory serves all duallies from that time era were using the mighty 80.

Here are some pictures from Moab two weeks ago. My 8 year old daughter loves to spot for me when on an obstacle. You can see her there in front pointing which direction I should go. She is so cute, and really into wheeling. You can never start them off too early, unfortunatly when she gets older she will want her own rig....that's going to be ...$$$$$ She does mix up her lefts and rights alot, but still it is cool to see her excitment in wheelin. She is wearing the blue hoody:)
