Got a little done this past week.

Rear bumper, mudflaps, gas filler tube, and rear shocks. Nothing exciting, but it's coming together. I think I'm done taking the bed off, that's getting old quick.

Bed on (hopefully for the last time). New bumper turned out great.

Last picture of the back of my beautiful cab before I put seatbelt bolts through it and uglify it up.

To-do this week:

finish covering tranny tunnel
install peel n seal
herculine interior
paint interior
re-mount seats
install seatbelts

I doubt I'll have my sliders done in time for snakes this weekend, so no wayne's world for me yet (unless I get them done by some miracle.)

I tubbed it so far back that the nuts are gone. I've gotta trim the front fenders still, then figure out a way to secure the bottom part.

THeir location is on purpose, but it would be better if the mounts were angled in a but more. It puts a lot of stress on the bushings but I'm not concerned. The shocks will be fine.

Yeah. I'm pretty anti-lockrite, except for the front. If it were a detroid I'd be all over it. Thanks though.

I have a v6 third sitting in my garage waiting for some 5.29's and a detroit to get purchased and installed :)

and for a shock mount i know it getto but to be able to run mine in that location and slanted in like yours.. back when i had regular shocks and leafs.. i just welded a bolt to the axle worked great ..

I want a real detroit (full-carrier locker) not just an EZ locker. The ez is just like a lockrite.

I already cut off my old shock mounts and I'm halfway done with the new ones. Good idea, I didn't even think of just welding a bolt to the housing, that would have been a TON easier.

lol cant take credit for the idea.. stole it from toyota rockhead.. he stole it from goose.. and im sure he saw some one else do it lol but yeah its super easy. but im sure whatever you came up with will probably look a little nicer lol

The cool thing about the bolt welded to the axle is that it allows the shock to pivot in the eye, which my setup does not allow for. I like it. Wish I hadn't already made my mounts. oh well, they'll be a bit stronger than a bolt butt welded on there. I lost my camera. As soon as I find it I'll take some pics.

I've got a lot to do tonight. if you're in the area with nothing better to do, feel free to hang out and shoot the breeze with us.

Interior:
- Make and install the top part of the tunnel
- Peel n Seal over the tunnel/DS floor
- herculine tunnel
- Get the heater/fan controls working cuz it's probably going to be cold.

Seats
- Install lap belts to seat
- drill seat holes
- cut off seat brackets for DS
- Seal rear patch job on the cab
- paint the rear of the cab
- install shoulder straps with silicone
- herculine floor

Other
- cut sliders
- cut rear shock mounts off
- add rear bolts to the axle like James suggested.

Hey just a idea if you wand to make the bolt idea stronger make a U shaped braket grind the tips of the U to curve to the axle and then on the top of the U drill a hole for the bolt to go through and weld the braket onto the axle and put the bolt through the hole in the U and weld it to the braket, much stronger and nicer looking

that's a good idea. I may end up doing that, we'll see. It all depends on how much time I've got left tomorrow. I still have a TON to do. I'm still on step 1 tonight.
