back to my build for the non-music lovers.

I've been pretty burnt out on this build. I know I work a lot slower than most people, which is probably why it's taken me so long. This weekend I'll finally be getting my sliders on, as well as bump stops. Then a week from this saturday I'll be heading out to little moab or snakes to test them out. Anyone's welcome to join.

For those wondering, the flat belly is sweet to brag about, and I like the clearance, but it wasn't worth all the interior work. If I were to do it again I wouldn't go flat belly. But don't get me wrong, I'm so glad I have it now, but that tranny tunnel, seat mounts, and all the sheetmetal work were a major pain (given my minimal fab skills). I learned a lot, and I got really good at welding sheet metal, but I think I was a bit over my head. I'm sure it's no big deal for most fabricators.

My wheelbase stretch should be finished by then. I may have to join you if I don't run up to the Providence Canyon run.

I haven't decided yet. Little moab is probably better for me because I can't drive over 40. I don't even remember how to get there, so I'll need someone else to lead the way. I've only wheeled there once, and it was over 6 years ago. I'll make a thread in the upcoming trips section.

I know how to get to little moab I have only been there once but it was this year in my tacoma... I am cool with either... btw the directions I had to get there are pretty funny. Its like drive on this road until you see a house with junk outside... My buddy and I where like ok house with junk? Sure enough it made sense when we saw it.

That'll be a great day! You're right, I haven't wheeled it enough to appreciate it. And I haven't needed it either (good thing cuz I don't have a skidplate that big yet). I hope I can run upper heldo with you, that would rock.

georges son.. his toyotas name is fluffy went strait up and over this when the other taller toyotas had to work at it.. (not too much but still) lol i couldnt go up it i had to go the the left and come passanger and lean and drive up it sideways. but when you do this in a few months it will be sweet that you have a flat belly.

keep up the good work man

Is that upper heldorado? Looks like a fun obstacle. i will be glad for a flat belly then. on that particular obstacle I should have no problem with my wheelbase. Do you have any pics of fluffy? What's his wheelbase?

sweet vids, and great driving. thanks for showing that james.

I'm pretty sure I don't want to go any lower in the front. Definitely in the back though.

cuz I like this thing called 'uptravel' :D And with leaves, it's tough to get it much lower. I may shorten my front shackle a bit to lower it, but I won't go any more extreme than that. no notching of the frame or any weird stuff like that.
